Dillard's opened at Willow Lawn in 1998, replacing the former Belk. This Dillard's did not last long, however, and was closed by 2004. The former Dillard's was soon replaced with Gold's Gym and Ross Dress For Less. Barnes & Noble, which opened in the 1990s, moved out in 2000 and was replaced with Staples.
Federal Realty began a renovation of the mall in 2005, taking a portion of the enclosed mall and returning it to an open-air strip. Also in 2005, Ben Franklin Crafts (which was formerly an outparcel) and K & G Fashion Superstore moved into the mall, the latter replacing most of the food court. Tower Records closed in 2006. Source

Bristol Mall is the only regional shopping mall serving Bristol, Virginia. The mall was built in the early to mid 1970s. The mall is notable to the area because it was at one time the largest enclosed indoor mall in the Upper East Tennessee/Southwest Virginia area.[citation needed] Anchor stores of the mall comprise two Belk stores, as well as JCPenney and Sears. One of the Belk stores was previously Parks-Belk, while the other, which opened as Miller's Department Store, later became Hess's and then Proffitt's.
Bristol Mall has the usual mix of restaurants, mall services, fast food, and other typical mall stores, as well as a movie theater. There are also nine food establishments including Chick-Fil-A, Subway, and Piccadilly Cafeterias. With Bristol being the home of country music, long before Knoxville or Nashville, for many years there has been a museum at the mall, showcasing the legacy this left to the area. Source

Tysons Corner Center, located in the Tysons Corner unincorporated area in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States (near McLean), opened to the public in 1968, becoming one of the first fully enclosed, climate-controlled shopping centers in the greater Washington area. (The fully enclosed Iverson Mall in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland, opened in 1967.) It is the largest shopping mall in the state and in the Baltimore-Washington area.
There are plans to extend the Washington Metro subway westward to Tysons Corner and eventually out to Dulles Airport. The Tysons Central 123 Silver Line station is planned to be on the north side of the shopping center where Tysons Boulevard crosses State Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road). Short Pump Town Center is located in Henrico County, Virginia on Broad Street, approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) west of I-64 Exit 178A/B. This area of Henrico County is called The West End and is northwest of Richmond. Short Pump Town Center is a two-level, open-air retail center comprised of upscale stores. It opened on September 17, 2003 and has over 200 stores. The retail center is owned and operated by Forest City Enterprises. Anchor stores are Dick's Sporting Goods, Dillard's, Macy's, and Nordstrom.

Southpark Mall is a shopping mall in the Colonial Heights, Virginia and Petersburg, Virginia area. It contains 76 stores and is anchored by Dillard's, Macy's, JC Penney and Sears.[1] The Hecht's store was renamed Macy's on September 9, 2006. On July 11, 2007, the mall opened its new Regal Cinemas Stadium 16 theater. The facility covers 68,000 square feet and includes approximately 3,100 seats. The old 6-screen theater in the food court area has converted into an extended food court. The food court now contains a Subway, Stir Fry 88, and Knockout Burgers. Sbarro is moving into the new section along with a new laser tag operation. The mall has also just finished new flooring throughout.
