Leaming’s Run Gardens and Colonial Farm
1845 Route 9 - North Cape May, NJ
A "must visit" for everyone in the Cape May County area. Open to the public since 1978, it’s been a favorite place for visitors to relax and enjoy lush gardens in harmony with the natural beauty surrounding them. It’s an outdoor classroom for children and their families to learn about plants and wildlife. It’s also a living history museum, a historic site that offers glimpses into a long, rich history with colonial origins.
There’s something here for everyone: bridges, ponds and nooks are just a part of the many individually designed and expertly crafted gardens that comprise the largest annual gardens in the USA. Leaming’s Run features 25 themed gardens, a fernery, and a shady bamboo grove. Visit the Cooperage Gift Shop where you’ll find gift ideas ranging from books and seeds to dried flower arrangements. Leaming’s Run will educate, inspire, and delight you. The gardens are always changing, so come back often.
