The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945 after the Second World War by 51 countries committed to maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations and promoting social progress, better living standards and human rights. Due to its unique international character, and the powers vested in its founding Charter, the Organization can take action on a wide range of issues, and provide a forum for its 192 Member States to express their views, through the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council and other bodies and committees.

Relive the golden age of railroading, a time when The Adirondack played host to the rich and famous on their way to their Great Camps. Our adventures offer many different scenic excursions departing from Utica's beautifully restored Union Station. This is our longest adventure, offering a full day trip, passing many flagstops including Holland Patent, Remsen, Forestport, Woodgate and Otter Lake. The journey is over 2 hours each way with a 4-1/2 hour layover in Thendara in the summer.

Atlantis Marine World, Long Island's number full-scale aquarium, located on Main Street in Riverhead, Long Island. Atlantis Marine World, situated along the Peconic River, boasts many fascinating marine life exhibits, sea lion training sessions, educational programs and numerous opportunities for personal experiences.
Frolicking seals will greet visitors to Atlantis Marine World before they enter the mystical Lost City of Atlantis, where numerous discoveries await the eager explorer.
During your visit, jump aboard the Atlantis Explorer for an educational environmental tour boat adventure along the Peconic River, where you can experience the natural wonders of Long Island’s waters and getting wet is optional!
Atlantis Marine World has formed an educational alliance with Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program, and is the primary supporter and home of the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation; New York State's only authorized stranding and rehabilitation facility.

You can race around our Lemans Raceway go-kart track, play laser tag in our outer space themed Lasertron arena. Inside you can rollerblade or roller skate to the hottest top 40 music during our skating sessions and dance at our Teen Dance Parties every Saturday night with a professional DJ from Total Entertainment. You can bounce in our new inflatable attractions, including 2 obstacle courses, a bounce house, and a toddler play area.

"All that is within me cries out to go back to my home on the Hudson River" FDR - This quote captures FDR's connection to Springwood, the estate that he loved & the place he considered home. The first US Presidential Library was started by FDR here. Visit the Home of FDR and Presidential Library & Museum to learn about the only President elected to four terms.

The massive stone bridge arch - the largest marble cave entrance in the east - dominates this spectacular display of ancient Adirondack geology from rock over one billion years old. Take a walking stick, map, and camera and set out on a self-guided, above-ground, natural stone step nature trail and experience up-close the many unique rock features, such as potholes, grottos, a gorge and mill site waterfalls. Descend into lighted surface caves with raging waterfalls or tranquil dark pools. Peter Dubacher started the Berkshire Bird Paradise, a certified not for profit company back in 1972 as a "labor of love." It has grown into one of the largest bird sanctuaries in the country. The sanctuary has evolved into an outdoors educational institution, where students on field trips with their parents or on college internship programs can learn about birds. The sanctuary is also a small botanical garden with hundreds of plants and exotic flowers .We are constantly improving our grounds, with the help of great volunteers.

Since its birth almost forty years ago as the "First Inland Oceanarium", the Aquarium of Niagara has seen over 8 million visitors, tourists, teachers, and students pass through its doors. It was the first aquarium to use synthetic seawater to exclusively maintain marinelife. More than forty exhibits showcase 1,500 aquatic animals from around the globe.
The Aquarium of Niagara is one of only 17 institutions in North America to house a colony of the endangered Peruvian penguin. Two daily penguin feedings provide visitors an opportunity to "Meet the Keeper" and learn about these fascinating aquatic birds!
The schedule includes exciting shark feedings (on alternate days), and scheduled sessions with the California sea lions in the 100,000 gallon central pool. Moray eels, piranhas, clownfish and the brilliantly colored fish of the coral reefs compliment the regional freshwater exhibits of sturgeon, gar and rock bass.
Enjoy the breathtaking view of the mist from the Falls and the majestic Niagara River gorge from the Aquarium’s Observation Deck. Our ‘Fin’esse Gift Shop offers a sea of treasures. The Aquarium of Niagara is handicap accessible, and parking is always free for our visitors!

Current programs focus on providing visitors with a better understanding of the natural world, how animals relate to each other, to their environment and to humankind. No longer are animals housed at the Buffalo Zoo solely for the amusement and entertainment of visitors, but rather, are presented to increase awareness for the importance of conservation for the benefit of both the animal kingdom and the human race.

Roberson Museum and Science Center is a complex institution encompassing the Binghamton campus of museum and science center, including historic buildings.
Roberson Memorial, Inc. was established by the will of Alonzo Roberson in 1934 to create an “educational center …for the use and benefit of all people.” The Roberson Memorial Center (as first called) opened to the public in 1954 in the Roberson Mansion.

Founded in 1900 by the financier Spencer Trask and his wife Katrina, herself a poet, Yaddo is an artists' community located on a 400-acre estate in Saratoga Springs, New York. Its mission is to nurture the creative process by providing an opportunity for artists to work without interruption in a supportive environment.
Yaddo offers residencies to professional creative artists from all nations and backgrounds working in one or more of the following media: choreography, film, literature, musical composition, painting, performance art, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video. Artists may apply individually or as members of collaborative teams of two or three persons. They are selected by panels of other professional artists without regard to financial means. Residencies last from two weeks to two months and include room, board, and studio.

The Academy provides a superb four-year education, which focuses on the leader development of cadets in the academic, military, and physical domains, all underwritten by adherence to a code of honor. The United States Military Academy's mission is to educate, train and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army.

Allegany State Park’s 65,000 acres is known for its primitive forested valleys, un-glaciated landscape, fall leaves and wildlife. The two developed areas, Red House and Quaker, make this the largest state park in the system. Both areas offer sand beaches, picnic areas, museums, hiking trails and naturalist walks.

A landmark beacon on the Hudson River, the Saugerties Lighthouse is a venerable red-brick lighthouse built in 1869 at the mouth of the Esopus Creek. The Saugerties Lighthouse Conservancy maintains the lighthouse and adjacent lands for the enjoyment of the public.

The 600-acre wetland preserve maintained by the Jamestown Audubon Society supports a great variety of wildlife. Hikers who are patient and quiet are treated to many spectacular finds - no matter what the season.

Ron and Nancy Robbins are the current owners of a diversified farm business just outside the historic village of Sackets Harbor. Founded in 1977 with 100 acres of rented land, Ron and Nancy have transformed the business to include 4000 acres of owned and rented land raising a variety of field crops and vegetables, a 400 cow dairy, a grain processing enterprise, and a very popular and well respected farm tour and agricultural education enterprise.

Located in the Hudson River Valley in Dutchess County, New York. We are on Route 9 in Hyde Park, about 90 miles north of New York City and 70 miles south of Albany.

The Aqua Zoo in Alexandria Bay has a large variety of marine life on display in over 80 exhibits and more than 15,000 gallons of fresh and sea water, the Aqua Zoo is one of the largest privately owned aquariums of its kind in the United States or Canada.
Fabulous coral reefs, which were imported from the Fiji Islands, will amaze you. They feature dozens of different species of invertebrates, living coral, and various other life forms. You'll notice Gonipora Coral from Malaysia, Gorgonia from the Caribbean Sea, Leather corals from Indonesia, Hawaiian Feather Dusters, Sea Apples from the Australian Barrier Reef, and many more interesting creatures.

The Hudson-Mohawk region all around Albany, Schenectady, and Troy was the Silicon Valley of the nineteenth century, and thus in many ways it was North America's original model for how the entrepreneurial use of cutting-edge technology can foster regional economic prosperity. The eastern terminus of the Erie Canal, finished in 1825, was here. The first railroad line designed specifically for use by steam locomotives connected Albany and Schenectady. Henry Burden, a Scottish immigrant who took over a nationally-ranked iron works in South Troy in the early 1800s, was the inventor of the "hook-head" railroad spike that is now in common usage.
