"As you may, or may not be aware, much of what was previously the South Hills Mall in Poughkeepsie, New York has been recently demolished to make way for an outdoor shopping center. This is quite unfortunate, as the South Hills Mall brought so many people in our area such fond memories over the past 30 years. Not to mention, this mall was the original; it introduced the first true indoor shopping mall experience to Poughkeepsie. Thankfully, Silver Cinemas, K-Mart, Shop Rite, and Burlington Coat Factory have remained; which we admire, support, and highly recommend. Although, unfortunately, everything else the mall had to offer has had to go."

The mall has four levels, each of which is approximately the shape of a rectangle. BJ's and Home Depot are not accessible from the mall itself. BJ's is on the bottom level, with Home Depot built on top of it and Target on top of that.
