For a skate shop to be in business for 5 years really is an impressive accomplishment, but Specialty Sports passed that mark up a long time ago. Very soon it’ll be coming up on its 30th year in business, a huge mark for any company and a real milestone for this industry.

Prime Skate Shop was Established in April of 2006. But the idea was burning for the past 10 years. Having been skateboarding for 20 years, the three owners Rich Petersen, Kevin Rochon & William Snell who have been friends since childhood, have grownup snowboarding and skateboarding. Lived and worked at mountains in the winter to snowboard as much as possible as well as built skateboard halfpipes in back yards and skated anywhere there was concrete or wood. All of these things had fueled the desire to one day go into business selling and promoting the sports that they are so passionate about.
