Rockefeller Center is a complex of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The development was was conceived on the verge of the Great Depression, and Rockefeller financed the center personally, making it the largest private building project in modern history at the time.
The complex was designed by a team of architects and artists, who created a collection of buildings with a strong Art Deco aesthetic. The L.I.C. Community Boathouse is a boathouse located in Long Island City, New York. The boathouse provides access to the East River for the local community through various programs such as kayaking, rowing and sailing. The boathouse is a volunteer-run organization that aims to promote the use of the waterfront for recreational, educational and environmental purposes. The boathouse offers a variety of programs for people of all ages and skill levels. The adult rowing program is a popular option for those looking to get in shape and learn a new skill. The youth rowing program is also offered to young people, providing a great opportunity to learn teamwork and discipline. Kayaking programs are also available for both adults and youth, as well as sailing programs.
In addition to these programs, the boathouse also offers waterfront access to the community through its kayak and rowboat lending program, which allows individuals to borrow boats for free during the boating season. The boathouse also provides space for community events such as parties, picnics, and other gatherings.
The boathouse is located on the East River in Long Island City, next to the Socrates Sculpture Park and the Queensbridge Park. The boathouse is easily accessible by public transportation, with the F train subway line stopping at the 21st St-Queensbridge stop, which is a short walk from the boathouse.

Through education and examples, ECSS encourages responsible decision making, appreciation, and respect for the unique wildlife and ecosystems found on Long Island.
Sweetbriar Nature Center is situated on 54 acres of varied garden, woodland, field and wetland habitats on the Nissequogue River. Hundreds of species of plants and animals make homes here.

"The Eagle Institute public programs are held during the winter months, when 150-200 bald eagles migrate to this region. To minimize disturbance during the breeding season, our only public program from March through July is in cooperation with the Basha Kill Area Association’s thebashakill.org Nature Watch program. We also collect data about the region’s nesting pairs and encourage participation through our Kitchen Counters Program."

The Aquarium of Niagara is one of only 17 institutions in North America to house a colony of the endangered Peruvian penguin. Two daily penguin feedings provide visitors an opportunity to "Meet the Keeper" and learn about these fascinating aquatic birds!
The schedule includes exciting shark feedings (on alternate days), and scheduled sessions with the California sea lions in the 100,000 gallon central pool. Our adventures offer many different scenic excursions departing from Utica's beautifully restored Union Station. This is our longest adventure, offering a full day trip, passing many flagstops including Holland Patent, Remsen, Forestport, Woodgate and Otter Lake. The journey is over 2 hours each way with a 4-1/2 hour layover in Thendara in the summer.

Peter Dubacher started the Berkshire Bird Paradise, a certified not for profit company back in 1972 as a "labor of love." It has grown into one of the largest bird sanctuaries in the country. The sanctuary has evolved into an outdoors educational institution, where students on field trips with their parents or on college internship programs can learn about birds. The sanctuary is also a small botanical garden with hundreds of plants and exotic flowers .We are constantly improving our grounds, with the help of great volunteers.

Founded in 1900 by the financier Spencer Trask and his wife Katrina, herself a poet, Yaddo is an artists' community located on a 400-acre estate in Saratoga Springs, New York. Its mission is to nurture the creative process by providing an opportunity for artists to work without interruption in a supportive environment.
Yaddo offers residencies to professional creative artists from all nations and backgrounds working in one or more of the following media: choreography, film, literature, musical composition, painting, performance art, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video. Artists may apply individually or as members of collaborative teams of two or three persons. They are selected by panels of other professional artists without regard to financial means. Residencies last from two weeks to two months and include room, board, and studio.

Allegany State Park’s 65,000 acres is known for its primitive forested valleys, un-glaciated landscape, fall leaves and wildlife. The two developed areas, Red House and Quaker, make this the largest state park in the system. Both areas offer sand beaches, picnic areas, museums, hiking trails and naturalist walks.

The 600-acre wetland preserve maintained by the Jamestown Audubon Society supports a great variety of wildlife. Hikers who are patient and quiet are treated to many spectacular finds - no matter what the season.

Roberson Museum and Science Center is a complex institution encompassing the Binghamton campus of museum and science center, including historic buildings.
Roberson Memorial, Inc. was established by the will of Alonzo Roberson in 1934 to create an “educational center …for the use and benefit of all people.” The Roberson Memorial Center (as first called) opened to the public in 1954 in the Roberson Mansion.

AAA Paintball has been open for 15 years and has 100 plus rentals to offer. We are a quality insured and safety certified organization. We encourage players to bring their own equipment but are a "field paint only" facility because paint quality is controllable. Players and groups are also welcome to schedule private groups.

Ron and Nancy Robbins are the current owners of a diversified farm business just outside the historic village of Sackets Harbor. Founded in 1977 with 100 acres of rented land, Ron and Nancy have transformed the business to include 4000 acres of owned and rented land raising a variety of field crops and vegetables, a 400 cow dairy, a grain processing enterprise, and a very popular and well respected farm tour and agricultural education enterprise.

A landmark beacon on the Hudson River, the Saugerties Lighthouse is a venerable red-brick lighthouse built in 1869 at the mouth of the Esopus Creek. The Saugerties Lighthouse Conservancy maintains the lighthouse and adjacent lands for the enjoyment of the public.

The Hudson-Mohawk region all around Albany, Schenectady, and Troy was the Silicon Valley of the nineteenth century, and thus in many ways it was North America's original model for how the entrepreneurial use of cutting-edge technology can foster regional economic prosperity. The eastern terminus of the Erie Canal, finished in 1825, was here. The first railroad line designed specifically for use by steam locomotives connected Albany and Schenectady. Henry Burden, a Scottish immigrant who took over a nationally-ranked iron works in South Troy in the early 1800s, was the inventor of the "hook-head" railroad spike that is now in common usage.
