Since 1979, Ballet Academy East has been a vibrant center for dance on Manhattan's Upper East Side. In 1978, Julia Dubno, the founder and director of Ballet Academy East was selected by Christine Fokine to run the Fokine Ballet School. That experience led to the opening of Ballet Academy East in a brownstone on East 79th Street with one small studio in 1979.
Today the school has five spacious studios and a world-renowned faculty and continues to flourish. Miss Dubno continues to oversee the day-to-day operations and is in close contact with the faculty in order to be kept abreast of all areas of the school.

There is many dance socials being held weekly, bi-weekly or monthly in Manhattan, Queens, New York, New Jersey and generally in the Tri-State area. There are many interesting people to meet and many partners to dance with. All you need to do is get out here. You are invited to join our Dance Club on our quest to dance socially and have fun everywhere where possible. Before going to socials we suggest to learn at least basic steps of few most popular social dances like: Salsa, Merengue, Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Swing and Hustle. You will have more fun and your partners will appreciate it.

As a small studio Dance Centre was able to provide individual attention to each dancer. Currently with 400 students and 4 teaching rooms, we are still dedicated to each student, both as a dancer and a person.

Champion Irish dancer and former lead of Riverdance, Kathleen Ryan, has expanded Ryan Irish Dance Academy to five locations across Nassau County.
Miss Kathleen has been dancing for more than 25 years, launching her international career with Riverdance on Broadway in 2000 and touring widely across North America with the iconic Celtic company until April 2005.

Founded by artistic director Diana Byer in 1978 as the official training school of New York Theatre Ballet. The Frank Ohman School of Ballet was founded in 1979 by Frank Ohman, former soloist at New York City Ballet (NYCB) and is one of the few remaining direct links to the teaching of George Balanchine. Currently located in Commack, the school serves as a training ground for promising young dancers and offers aspiring students the opportunity to learn classical ballet in the tradition of George Balanchine. The Frank Ohman School of Ballet will guide your child from first steps to advanced technique, while instilling joy for this timeless art form. The school is a non-competition, non-recital school focusing on proper classical technique.

A Escola Carioca de Dança tem como principal atividade a Dança de Salão e seus vários ritmos. Professor de Dança de Salão formado pela Cia. Aérea de Dança, onde atuou como professor e dançarino até 1993, passou a dirigir espaço próprio, o Studio Marcello Moragas - Dança de Salão. Integra, também, a Cia. de Dança Carlinhos de Jesus onde desenvolve atividades como dançarino, ensaísta, coreógrafo e diretor artístico

O Grupo de Dança Julia de Athayde começou a se formar em 2001, quando Julia de Athayde e sua mãe Marisa de Athayde coordenaram um projeto de dança de salão em um condomínio de Jacarepaguá. A turma do prédio, muito animada, auto denominou-se de Gazela Dourada e, foi assim que Grupo cresceu.
Em 2002 o GDJA começou a organizar bailes mensais no Quality Shopping. Bailes de Fim de Ano, Halloween, carnaval e aniversários.
Em 2006, o GDJA iniciou um projeto social com aulas de dança para as crianças carentes do AMAR - Associação do Menor Abandonado e Recuperado, em Duque de Caxias, incluindo trabalho voluntário e dança coreográfica infantil nas escolas.
