The massive stone bridge arch - the largest marble cave entrance in the east - dominates this spectacular display of ancient Adirondack geology from rock over one billion years old. Take a walking stick, map, and camera and set out on a self-guided, above-ground, natural stone step nature trail and experience up-close the many unique rock features, such as potholes, grottos, a gorge and mill site waterfalls. Descend into lighted surface caves with raging waterfalls or tranquil dark pools. A coleção é considerada uma das mais importantes do mundo no que se refere a plantas tropicais e semi-tropicais, possuindo o título de patrimônio cultural brasileiro desde 1985. Cursos e encontros são regularmente promovidos e estudantes universitários são orientados por professores de Biologia/Botânica. Fazem parte do Conselho Consultivo do Sítio muitos dos melhores botânicos e paisagistas brasileiros que ajudam a instituição com os seus conhecimentos. O Sítio não é aberto ao público para passeios livres. É obrigatória a prévia marcação da visita que se realiza orientada por monitores.
