Each May, JCCC faculty and staff have the opportunity to enjoy a week-long tour of Kansas emphasizing the state’s history, environment, populations, art, geography and economy. Stops may include Salina, Lindsborg, Nicodemus, Lucas, Hays, Victoria, Dodge City, Garden City, Mullinville, Goessel, Council Grove, among others
Because Kansas residents often feel that people from Johnson County know nothing about the rest of the state, the trip is intended to help JCCC faculty and staff better understand the state in which they live or work. Tours of historic sites, meetings with community leaders, and targeted readings give participants a much greater understanding of what it means to be a Kansan.

"High Country Tours snowmobile trips accommodate individuals of all ages and experience levels. Our machines are for single or double riders and have a 400 lb. weight limit. They have hand and feet warmers as well as back rests and compartments to carry items. Our fleet of machines consists mainly of Polaris 550cc snowmobiles. We also have higher performance sleds available. We take pride in offering tours with small groups, providing all of our guests with a more personal tour. All tours get some free time in the meadows where you can play on the machines. We offer miles and miles of back country powder riding and a groomed trail system. We are an equal opportunity provider.
We are centrally located to all the ski areas including Breckenridge, Keystone and Copper Mountain. We offer free transportation. We meet at our office in Dillon or we can pick you up at your local lodging. You can also drive directly to our location. "

The massive stone bridge arch - the largest marble cave entrance in the east - dominates this spectacular display of ancient Adirondack geology from rock over one billion years old. Take a walking stick, map, and camera and set out on a self-guided, above-ground, natural stone step nature trail and experience up-close the many unique rock features, such as potholes, grottos, a gorge and mill site waterfalls. Descend into lighted surface caves with raging waterfalls or tranquil dark pools. Come take a walking ghost tour through downtown Chattanooga, hearing tales (and maybe even getting pictures) of some of the city's TRUE hauntings! The tour begins at Walnut Street Bridge (downtown side), and proceeds at a leisurely pace to the Read House, home of the infamous Room 311 and its permanent inhabitant, Anna Lisa Netherly. Numerous stops occur along the way, where you will hear ghost stories and other entertaining tidbits about various sites.Weekend tours from March until fall begin Friday and Saturday nights at the Walnut Street Bridge at 8:15 pm, with fall tours beginning at 7:30 pm.

Morristown National Historical Park is nationally significant as the site of the 1779-80 winter encampment of the Continental Army under General George Washington. Few places evoke the spirit of patriotism and independence, represent individual and collective sacrifice, or demonstrate the resolve, tenacity and determination of the people of the United States to be free as does Morristown. The historic landscapes, structures, objects, and archeological and natural resources at Morristown are tangible links to one of the most defining events in our nation's history. Here the Continental Army under Washington's leadership emerged as a cohesive and disciplined fighting force. The Morristown experience is fundamental to both American history, and remains a source of inspiration for Americans and the world.

Rockefeller Center is a complex of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The development was was conceived on the verge of the Great Depression, and Rockefeller financed the center personally, making it the largest private building project in modern history at the time.
The complex was designed by a team of architects and artists, who created a collection of buildings with a strong Art Deco aesthetic. The buildings are adorned with sculptures, mosaics, and murals that reflect the cultural and social influences of the time. The centerpiece of the complex is the 70-story Rockefeller Plaza, which was the world's tallest building when it was completed in 1933.

America's most decorated Battleship is now the area's most exciting museum, open for tours, events and overnight encampments. Exploring “BB62” is experiencing history in a whole new way. Not only do you see exhibits of artifacts from the ship’s past, but you are put into the exhibit as you go through the tour route. Sit in the chair from which Admiral Halsey commanded the fleet. Stretch out on the bunks where the sailors slept. Climb into the 16” gun turret and learn how the projectiles were loaded.

Designed for children and families. It is a special place to explore and discover the natural world. The four-acre garden provides horticultural experiences for creative and imaginative play. The Garden is located across the Delaware River from Philadelphia and adjacent to the Adventure Aquarium, Susquehanna Bank Center, Battleship New Jersey and Riversharks Baseball. Weekends are an ideal time to visit as you can chat live with the zookeepers and learn how they care for the animals. Maybe even find out what your favorite animal does when you're not there. "Ballooning in the Hudson Valley of New York is about as close to the NYC area as you can get with a hot air balloon. Due to airspace restrictions and congested cities in the tri-state area, Middletown is a perfect blend of beauty and convenience. We are only an hour from New York City and much closer to Rockland, Westchester, Yonkers, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster and Sullivan Counties.
