Operating since 1905, the Staten Island Ferry is one of the oldest continuously operating ferry systems in the United States. The ferries operating on this route are equipped with services such as refreshment points, rest areas and toilets. The journey from one terminal to the other takes about 25 minutes. The ferry is also an alternative to the car as it offers a convenient and reliable way to travel between the two parts of the city without traffic jams. Additionally, the ferry is an important part of New York City's transportation infrastructure and helps reduce congestion on the area's freeways.

The Dutchess County Agricultural Society, Inc. is a nonprofit 501c5 corporation. The 80 member society is made up of interested men and women who elect the 16 member Board of Directors. This group oversees all aspects of the operation of the fair and all off season events. The General Manager works with and communicates directly to the Board. A permanent staff of eleven produces the various events and maintains the 162-acre facility throughout the year. The number of paid staff and volunteers during the fair grows to several hundred.

"The Eagle Institute public programs are held during the winter months, when 150-200 bald eagles migrate to this region. To minimize disturbance during the breeding season, our only public program from March through July is in cooperation with the Basha Kill Area Association’s thebashakill.org Nature Watch program. We also collect data about the region’s nesting pairs and encourage participation through our Kitchen Counters Program."

The assassination of President Abraham Lincoln here on April 14, 1865, overshadowed this theater for most of its history. Ford's opened just four years before that fateful night. Restored to its 1865 appearance, Ford's is again a showcase for plays. The basement-level Lincoln Museum displays artifacts from the assassination, including the gun John Wilkes Booth used to kill Lincoln. Mementos from Lincoln's life are also on display. The Liberty Bell, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an American bell of great historic significance. The Liberty Bell is perhaps one of the most prominent symbols associated with early American history and the battle for American independence and freedom. Its most famous ringing, on July 8, 1776, summoned citizens for the reading of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress. The current, vibrant state of Roger Williams Park Zoo is due to the hard work, persistence, and cooperation of both public and private sector, as well as the general public, for whom this zoo exists.

Kennywood Entertainment continues the Story Land legacy begun by the Morrell Family... The inspiration for Story Land came to Bob and Ruth Morrell of North Conway, NH, from a woman they met in Germany, while Bob was serving in the U.S. Army in the early 1950s.
Frau Von Arps had created a collection of small dolls based on characters from children's stories, and she suggested that the Morrells build a small village to house them when they returned home to the White Mountains. They took her suggestion much further, deciding instead to bring some of those characters and stories to life in a setting with green grass and flowers, where children are safe and busy at every turn.

Funland is a family amusement center located on the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The park offers great entertainment for the whole family, featuring 18 rides, 13 midway games, an electronic shooting gallery, redemption games and redemption center, and an arcade with video and pinball machines.
