Joyce's Tavern Bar is an family owned Irish Tavern. The tavern opened in 1966 by the Joyce family. Since 1978, Joyce's Tavern has had live entertainment from Irish artist. Through the years, stars such as Jimmy Barnes have played at Joyce's Tavern. Joyce's continues to be a popular meeting place for locals and tourist.

Bratva Bar is Coney Island’s first upscale sports bar and cafe located across the street from the new Luna Park, a short walk from the beach and Keyspan Park (home of the Brooklyn Cyclones) and one block west of the Stillwell Avenue subway stop. The landmark tavern at Five Points in Mercerville was built in the mid-1700s. The exact date is not known, but it is rumored that George Washington and his troops passed by the tavern on their way to the “Battle of Princeton”. In later years, the tavern was owned by many prominent area families and can lay claim to the oldest liquor license issued in Hamilton Township.

Dominic was a meat cutter in a supermarket in Long Branch during the day and used to drive down to Manasquan at night to work at the Squan Tavern serving the foods that he was raised on.
