There is over 4000 square feet and three floors of space with all the equipment you will ever need in order to meet your goal of becoming the best that you can be. Facilities include five hanging heavybags, without which you can't perfect your punches and kicks. The bags also build and tone muscles as well as condition your heart and lungs-a must for any serious martial artist. Wight training, a boxing ring, mats for Jiu Jitsu train-ing, gloves, headgear, and all safety equipment necessary to develop the important three ranges of distance fighting (hand range, kicking range, and self-defense grappling range) which is essential to develop one's complete martial arts skills. |

Tessa Gordon,Chief Instructor Originally from Toronto, Canada, Tessa Gordon holds a 5th degree black belt in the Korean art of Tae Kwon Do. Gordon was a member of the 1988 Canadian Olympic Team, nine-time Canadian National Champion, World Championship Medalist and Pan American Champion. Today, Gordon has been practicing Tae Kwon Do for over 35 years. As a young child, Gordon began training in basic kicking and punching techniques at home. As her progress and enjoyment of the art became evident, her parents enrolled her in the Jong Park Institute of Tae Kwon Do. She found the discipline required for traditional training incredibly demanding both emotionally and physically. Yet with the encouragement of her parents, she continued to train.

Aikido of Champlain Valley is a 501(c)(3) federal non-profit educational institution committed to teaching traditional Aikido in Vermont by providing safe, focused and enjoyable training. Aikido of Champlain Valley schedules weekend seminars in Aikido and Iaido with guest instructors from around the world. We also offer classes in zazen (Zen meditation), Iaido (sword arts) and Aiki-weapons (sword and staff). An intensive training program is also available for qualifying students.

Porta's Karate-Do & Kobudo Academy was established in 1966 by Sensei John Porta. The Academy offers programs in three martial arts: Karate, Kobudo (traditional Okinawan weapons), and Tai Chi Chuan.
