Master Tom Curry has been in the martial arts for 36 years. A lifetime student of the Arts, Master Curry is forever training and researching to stay on the cutting edge, 100% of the time. His first instructor was Sensei Art Campbell who operated the Jackson Jujutsu Kai in Jackson, New Jersey. Learning both Kodakan Judo and Jujutsu was an excellent introduction into this fascinating world. “Sensei Campbell was a real gentleman, excellent technician and a good role model.”

Schulmann's Mixed Martial Arts seeks to help build a solid foundation in life for as many children as possible, by assisting them in achieving a healthy mind and body through martial arts instruction. This wellbeing will instill in them the self-confidence, focus and determination necessary to become strong and successful in every aspect of life.<br> The adult program is designed to help one achieve self-confidence through physical conditioning and mastering the art of self-defense. Striving to train as many adults as possible to be physically fit and relieved of everyday stress and adept in practical martial arts skill, which will assist them in becoming more confident and successful in every aspect of their lives.

The origins of Goju Ryu Karate are shrouded in the mists of time. Many of the techniques found in this powerful style are common to the fighting systems of South China. Emphasis is placed on breath control and conditioning. What is now called GoJu Ryu or the hard/soft system was introduced into Okinawa by Kanryo Higaonna early in this century. His primary student, Chojun Miyagi, developed the style further incorporating three new forms (kata). At that time Goju Ryu did not have an official name. After some thought the name hard/soft was taken from the Bible of Karate called BUBISHI
