The Staten Island Children's Museum appeals to the intrepid explorer in every child. The New Jersey Scout Museum was created in 2004 and is a non-profit corporation of the State of New Jersey. The Museum is not affiliated with the BSA or GSUSA. All funds for operating expenses come from donations and memberships ("Friends of the Museum"). Monmouth Council BSA graciously provides the public exhibition space.
The Museum is open to the public and admission is free (a donation is appreciated for groups).

William Trent House, built between 1716 - 1719, is a National Historic Landmark and was the country seat of William Trent, a Philadelphia merchant and his family. It is the oldest building in New Jersey's capital city and once home to the man for whom the city is named.

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on November 26, 1922, Charles M. Schulz was the only child of Dena and Carl Schulz. From birth, comics played an important role in Schulz’s life. At just two days old, an uncle nicknamed him “Sparky” after the horse Spark Plug from the Barney Google comic strip, and throughout his youth he and his father shared a Sunday morning ritual reading the funnies. Schulz always knew he wanted to be a cartoonist and was very proud when Ripley’s newspaper feature, Believe it or Not, published his drawing of the family dog in 1937.

The International Wildlife Museum is dedicated to increasing knowledge and appreciation of the diverse wildlife of the world as well as explaining the role of wildlife management in conservation.
Founded in 1988, the museum highlights over 400 species of insects, mammals and birds from around the globe. Some of the collections are more than 100 years old and all the animals found at the museum were donated by various government agencies, wildlife rehabilitation centers, captive breeding programs, zoos and individuals.

Four floors of over forty galleries of art are rotated regularly with works from antiquity to the present in the Museum's far-reaching Collection. Included in the Collection are 15th- to 20th-century European and 17th- to 20th-century American paintings, sculpture, prints, drawings, decorative arts, photographs, and folk and self-taught art. The National D-Day Museum is made up of four sections, each containing a different exhibit. A variety of artifacts, testimonies and documents, particularly those chronicling the World War II period, are on display. There is a permanent exhibit, as well as temporary exhibits and electronic exhibits, all of which transport visitors back to that time in history. In addition, two movies are screened several times daily in the museum's Malcolm S. Forbes Theatre - these are 'Price For Peace' and 'D-Day Remembered'.

Bunnell Street Arts Center is a non-profit art center exhibiting innovative contemporary Alaskan artwork for sale, solo exhibitions of Alaskan artists, lectures, discussions and concerts, artists in the schools, the Homer artists studio tour, and art workshops for adults.

The station was built in 1907 and originally was the home to Hook and Ladder Company No. 3. The Museum boasts a fantastic collection of fire apparatus including “Old Tige”, an 1884 horse-drawn steam pumper named after then mayor W.L. Cabell. Other apparatus include some of the first motorized engines that were used by the Dallas Fire Department. Children can indulge their fascination with firefighters by climbing on a 1951 Fire engine, pulling on their helmet, and pretending they are on their way to “save the day”.
