Theodorou Academy Jiu-Jitsu has been offering instruction and training in Ju-Jitsu since 1994. Located in Selden, NY, Theodorou Academy Jiu-Jitsu has produced champions in life as well as in the martial arts. <br> Headed by Phil Theodorou (5th degree black belt/Master) and a staff of expert instructors, Theodorou Academy Jiu-Jitsu offers a number of programs for physical fitness and instruction in Ju-Jitsu.

Kioto Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is owned & operated by Grand Master Francisco Mansor, who has dedicated 46 years of his life to the practice, study and teaching of Jiu-Jitsu. He is the founder and owner of "Academia Kioto de Jiu-Jitsu," one ofadmin the most traditional and successful Jiu-Jitsu schools in Rio de Janeiro, "Brasil." He is very proud to be one of the six men outside of the Gracie family to be granted a professor's diploma by Grand Master Helio Gracie.

After relocating to Patchogue, the studio is charting a new course by embracing a nonprofit structure that draws inspiration from the legendary martial traditions of ancient China. What unfolds over the coming months will reflect the comprehensive vision of historic kung fu centers, blending rigorous training with philosophy, therapeutic practice, and community welfare. The curriculum continues to expand, layering in fresh offerings that weave together authentic Chinese martial arts instruction, accessible health and wellness support, and a welcoming space where people from all walks of life can train together. Winter evenings at the studio carry a particular energy—the quiet focus of students practicing forms while the world outside grows still and cold creates an atmosphere where discipline and inner development feel especially grounded. The overarching purpose remains rooted in spreading kung fu knowledge, extending resources to those who need them most, and building a genuine community where diversity isn't just tolerated but genuinely celebrated.

Bob Klein began studying healing, meditation, Tai-chi and Kung-fu since the 1960’s. <br> He received his Tai-chi-Chuan teaching certificate from Grandmaster William C. C. Chen in 1975. He also studied with healers from several nature-oriented cultures.

Since 1989, East Coast Black Belt Academy/Long Island Budokai has been providing instruction in Karate and the martial arts in the Middle Island, NY area.
