Met Foodmarkets have been serving consumers in New York City and surrounding communities for more than 40 years, and there are currently more than 80 Met Foodmarkets located in the New York metropolitan area. Each store is independently owned and operated by local merchants familiar with the needs of their local neighborhoods.

From a small, struggling cooperative with seven Members – all owners of their own grocery stores – ShopRite has grown into the largest retailer-owned cooperative in the United States and the largest employer in New Jersey. The cooperative is comprised of 43 members who individually own and operate supermarkets under the ShopRite banner. Today, more than 50,000 people are employed by Wakefern Food Corporation, the merchandising and distribution arm of the company, and the 190 ShopRite stores in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The Greene Grape began in 2004 with a small wine store in Fort Greene dedicated to small production wine in an affordable price range. Today that commitment has extended to a 2nd store in Manhattan.

Stores, situated in neighborhoods with large populations and ethnic diversity, continually refine, improve and implement their marketing strategies in order to increase customer service and sales.

Doors to the market are open Mon-Sat from 7am to 10pm, and Sun from 10am-8pm. However, please contact individual stores for their individual hours. The new kiosk arcade hours are from 10am-9pm, and other individual stores range from 7am-10pm in the main concourse area.
