Kings Plaza is a shopping center that opened in 1970, within the Marine Park/Mill Basin section of Brooklyn, east of Flatbush Avenue. Originally hosting the now defunct Alexander's, as well as Macy*s department store chains, it began to operate a branch of Sears in 1997, and underwent extensive renovations in 2001. Later, Kings Plaza closed the Waldenbooks book store, Suncoast videos and Sam Goody music store. The Banana Republic store was closed and changed into a children's clothing store named Kidstown (which has also closed) and a Godiva chocolate store was added. CVS also closed and was replaced by a furniture store. An Armani Exchange store was added to the mall, expected to open summer 2008. Source

The MetroTech Business Improvement District (BID) is a non-profit community development organization founded in 1992 to further revitalization of Downtown Brooklyn.
Based at MetroTech Center, the BID provides public safety, sanitation, economic development, marketing and-promotional services throughout a 25-block District made up of diverse businesses, universities and government agencies.
    Monmouth Mall, New Jersey

Monmouth Mall, New Jersey's fifth largest shopping center, is 1.5 million square feet. The center first opened as a 500,000 square foot open-air center on March 1, 1960. In 1975, the mall was enclosed and expanded to it's current size. The mall underwent major renovations in 1987 and again in 1996. During the 1996 renovation, Monmouth Mall added a 700-seat food court and the 15-screen Loews Theatre. Monmouth Mall is conveniently located in Central New Jersey just a few miles from the "Jersey Shore." The shopping center is just off the Garden State Parkway at Exit 105 and can also be accessed via Routes 18, 35 and 36.
    Moorestown Mall, New Jersey

Prior to Rouse Co.'s purchase of the mall in December 1997, The May Co. had committed to build an upscale Lord & Taylor store, with a new Strawbridge's as anchors to the mall. In addition a Guess store joined the mall, as an upscale retailer.
Nordstrom considered opening a store in South Jersey also, but they did not commit to the mall's expansion plans.
In an attempt to protect the Cherry Hill Mall, a mere 3 miles (4.8 km) away, the Rouse Co. acquired the Moorestown Mall. Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust acquired the Cherry Hill Mall, Echelon Mall, Moorestown Mall, Exton Square, Plymouth Meeting Mall, and Gallery at Market East on March 7, 2003. Source

Southpark Mall is a shopping mall in the Colonial Heights, Virginia and Petersburg, Virginia area. It contains 76 stores and is anchored by Dillard's, Macy's, JC Penney and Sears.[1] The Hecht's store was renamed Macy's on September 9, 2006. On July 11, 2007, the mall opened its new Regal Cinemas Stadium 16 theater. The facility covers 68,000 square feet and includes approximately 3,100 seats. The old 6-screen theater in the food court area has converted into an extended food court. The food court now contains a Subway, Stir Fry 88, and Knockout Burgers. Sbarro is moving into the new section along with a new laser tag operation. The mall has also just finished new flooring throughout.

Completed in 1983, this mall functioned mainly as a successor to the smaller and dated Newington Mall, which has since been converted into a big box retail center. Source

    Concord Mall, Delaware

Located north of the city of Wilmington, Delaware, in the unincorporated Brandywine Hundred area along U.S. Route 202. The mall is located a short distance south of the Pennsylvania border and it attracts shoppers from Pennsylvania and other neighboring states wishing to take advantage of tax-free shopping in Delaware. The mall opened in stages over a period of several years. The first of the mall was an Almart, a now-defunct discounter, which opened in 1965. In 1971, a Pomeroy's (now-defunct department store chain) was added. The Almart later became a Jefferson Ward (Montgomery Ward-owned discounter), and was then a Bradlees for a brief time until it was demolished for a Sears. It contains over 90 stores and is owned by Allied Properties. Source
