Located in New York City’s Greenwich Village, was founded in 1953 by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino to develop and train professional dancers. The School continues to strive for the founders’ vision of dance based on rigorous classical training that is imbued with a sense of movement, clarity and exuberant energy.<br> In more than fifty years of existence, the Joffrey Ballet School has remained on the forefront of American dance education. Graduates of the School have gone on to dance for major classical ballet companies, as well as for numerous modern and contemporary companies, both in the United States and abroad.

"Dance Manhattan, the ideal studio to take dance lessons in NYC! We specialize in Ballroom, Swing, Salsa, Argentine Tango and Wedding Lessons and are conveniently located in the heart of Chelsea. We offer a full range of private lessons, group classes at all levels, one-day crash courses and workshops, and introductory packages. Our most popular dance events include Tango Mondays, Salsa Sundays and Theme Fridays. We prepare social dancers for having fun at casual evenings out, special events, or even their own weddings."

An integrated arts enrichment program which provides a meaningful introduction and foundation in the arts for lifetime enhancement. In over sixty public and private schools throughout the New York Metropolitan Area we teach preschool through high school students of all populations including Special Education, Bilingual/ESL, and Gifted/TAG. Our program stimulates creativity and intellectual growth while contributing to emotional and physical well-being.

Established by artistic director Igal Perry in 1983. Since its inception, the Center's goal has been to provide a broad spectrum of dance education within a nurturing and professional environment, preparing dancers for the continually evolving international dance arena. The school at Peridance Center offers an open program of classes, a comprehensive Foreign Students Program, and a graded children's program named the PeriChild Program. The Center is also the home of Peridance Ensemble, the renowned contemporary dance company.<br> Peridance Center is located in a beautiful landmark building, one block south of Union Square in the Greenwich Village area of Manhattan. This location is currently being renovated to accommodate 6 large, professionally equipped studios featuring high ceilings, column free space, sprung floors, pianos and excellent sound systems. The ground floor features a state-of-the-art theater, a coffee shop, and a Capezio dance store.

Primary teacher Miss Mary Anthony, successful choreographer, professional dancer and owner of The Mary Anthony Dance Theatre founded in 1954. BodiBalance™ is a system of dance training, body conditioning and kinesthetic awareness all in one. It was created especially for dancers by New York dancer/choreographer Carol Fonda. It gives you a clear physical understanding of how freely and spontaneously your body is designed to move, no matter what style you dance. <br> Every BodiBalance class contains aspects of the uniquely designed Floor WarmUp and the Movement Principles that make up the BodiBalance experience. Apply these tools to dance exercises and choreography and take your dancing to heights of free and energetic flow.
