The Boathouse Bar and Grill has been in operation since 1998 and is owned by Tim and Matt Harmon. The original Boathouse was located at 1401 Highway 71 in Belmar and moved to its current location at 1309 Main Street in Belmar, in November 2000. There have been several restaurants in this location prior to the Boathouse, including "Jerry O's", "The Rescue" and the "Wooden Nickel".

Connolly Station opened May 19, 2005, named after a train station in Dublin, and proximity to the Belmar Train Station. This combined two restaurants, Pat's Tavern and Patrick's Pub with one menu and theme. They feature a large menu with a wide variety such as; mouth watering steaks, fresh seafood, large salads, wraps, sandwiches, & Irish specialties like fresh corned beef & shephard's pie. Connolly Station is also known for it's excellent nightly entertainment.

The New Jersey Scout Museum was created in 2004 and is a non-profit corporation of the State of New Jersey. The Museum is not affiliated with the BSA or GSUSA. All funds for operating expenses come from donations and memberships ("Friends of the Museum"). Monmouth Council BSA graciously provides the public exhibition space. <br> The Museum is open to the public and admission is free (a donation is appreciated for groups).

Monmouth Mall, New Jersey's fifth largest shopping center, is 1.5 million square feet. The center first opened as a 500,000 square foot open-air center on March 1, 1960. In 1975, the mall was enclosed and expanded to it's current size. The mall underwent major renovations in 1987 and again in 1996. During the 1996 renovation, Monmouth Mall added a 700-seat food court and the 15-screen Loews Theatre. Having spent my first career in education and been a lover of good books, I hoped my next career would include books. I have always believed every town should have their own community bookstore, a place filled with good books, the type that get people to feel, to think, discuss, laugh and enjoy. To prepare for this goal, I worked part-time at a bookstore and learned the day to day operations. I took a course on the essentials of opening a quality bookstore and visited as many bookstores in New Jersey as I could. I found many bookstore owners to be both warm and generous with their time. Many of these owners have become close colleagues and remain a strong network helping my own bookstore, thrive and grow.

In 1964 Marguerite and Dominic started serving pizza and sandwiches from a small corner in the back of a bar called the Squan Tavern. Dominic was a meat cutter in a supermarket in Long Branch during the day and used to drive down to Manasquan at night to work at the Squan Tavern serving the foods that he was raised on.
