The Laury Group, Inc. was established in 1968 when Laury Ford Jeambon, who was Personnel Coordinator and Executive Assistant to the Sunday Editor of The New York Times, decided that even the best of all possible work worlds could be fraught with office politics. She decided to leave and work on her own. Combining her background in human relations with her executive and editorial experience, she became, in effect, her first "temp," offering employers her executive administrative skills on an as-needed basis. In no time at all, Laury was inundated with requests for "more Laurys" from former employers and current clients.

Michele has a masters degree in dance education from New York University, has tought at both NYU and Lehman College and has been in business for 25 years.

Diva Dance is a studio that sets itself apart from the rest. We offer a fun and friendly atmosphere with super Diva style that offers dance classes to ages 1 1/2 through adult. Class Levels range from beginner level just starting out in the world of dance all the way to professional level of training for the serious dancer. The Vicky Simegiatos Dance Company is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide cultural enrichment for the Brooklyn community. We have established, through auditions, a Scholarship Program for talented young students who receive dance training free of charge, and participate in our professional productions.

BBT is a dance school dedicated to providing the highest quality dance education for girls and boys ages 2-19, as well as adults. Through the discipline and dedication dance requires, BBT molds and develops healthy, passionate, responsible, and well-rounded individuals who have the potential to succeed in any field. <br> BBT draws on the rich traditions of Russian ballet. Specifically, several of the oldest buildings on campus are unable to meet the space and program needs of our faculty and students. In order to maintain programs and to expand other areas of the curriculum, SJVA proposed a $5 million renovation and construction project. This will primarily consolidate the high school's academic space into a central location by enlarging and renovating the existing high school facility. A three-story wing is being built and connected to the current two-story high school. All new classrooms will be provided with "T1" Internet access lines. The project broke ground in December 2004 and is anticipated to be completed by September 2005. Of this $5 million renovation and construction project, $1 million must be raised from a capital campaign. Because St. John Villa is a private Catholic school, we do not receive public funds or money from the Archdiocese for capital projects and therefore, must seek private donations to accomplish this greatly needed project.

The origins of Goju Ryu Karate are shrouded in the mists of time. Many of the techniques found in this powerful style are common to the fighting systems of South China. Emphasis is placed on breath control and conditioning. What is now called GoJu Ryu or the hard/soft system was introduced into Okinawa by Kanryo Higaonna early in this century. His primary student, Chojun Miyagi, developed the style further incorporating three new forms (kata). At that time Goju Ryu did not have an official name.
