The objectives of this Club shall be: to advocate, promote and maintain the principles of Republicanism as enunciated by the Republican Party; to direct and interest in politics those persons who have heretofore been indifferent to their political duties; to teach the purpose and value of political parties, and the relationship of party to government; to guard and defend the purity of the ballot box; to promote the cause of good government; to perform such other works as may best conserve the interests of the Republican Party; and to maintain a clubhouse for these purposes.

The Japan Karate Association of Brooklyn, founded in 1972, offers training in traditional Shotokan Karate-Do. The school is affiliated with the Japan Karate Association (JKA), a world-wide organization dedicated to encourage and assist students in their growth and understanding of Shotokan, and to promote the development of the art generally. It is also a member of Shotokan Karate-do International (SKDI). SKDI operates out of New York City and serves as the headquarters for many JKA clubs worldwide. Classes are taught by Sensei Shu Takahashi, 7th dan. Sensei Takahashi is a JKA-licensed tournament judge, examiner and instructor. Additionally, he currently teaches karate at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook, and has taught at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) from 1983 to 1997. Sensei Takahashi has studied under Sensei Mori, 8th dan, since 1963.

Master Vincent A. Affatigato is a 7th degree black belt with 30 years of martial arts experience. He is a Certified International Instructor with the International Taekwon-do Federation, has been teaching as a head instructor for 20 years, and has been an officer of the United States Taekwon-do Federation since 1996.

Kings Plaza is a shopping center that opened in 1970, within the Marine Park/Mill Basin section of Brooklyn, east of Flatbush Avenue. Originally hosting the now defunct Alexander's, as well as Macy*s department store chains, it began to operate a branch of Sears in 1997, and underwent extensive renovations in 2001. Later, Kings Plaza closed the Waldenbooks book store, Suncoast videos and Sam Goody music store. The Banana Republic store was closed and changed into a children's clothing store named Kidstown (which has also closed) and a Godiva chocolate store was added. The recently added Stage K pushes past 18,000 square feet, while a pair of additional stages each exceed 12,000. For smaller productions, there's flexibility with spaces running 8,000, 4,000, and 3,000 square feet. The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is located in Flushing, in the New York City borough of Queens and has been the home of the US Open Grand Slam tennis tournament played every year in August and September.
