Donghia is a privately owned furniture and textile company, founded by Angelo Donghia who, in his brief lifetime, established the high standards which have become the company’s hallmark. Donghia’s uniquely focused look is achieved through classically inspired yet distinctly modern product. Sold worldwide (in the USA, to the trade only), Donghia presents “American design” at its best.
Donghia furniture ranges from upholstered sofas, chairs and beds to tables, casepieces, wicker and teak. Original Donghia designed accessories include lamps, mirrors and vessels hand made by Venetian craftsmen. Donghia furniture combines both glamour and simplicity while successfully bridging the gap between contemporary and traditional design. Pieces within the collection work to complement each other as well as period antiques and exotic artifacts—their chameleon-like nature allowing them to fit seamlessly into any design vocabulary. The company’s designs continue to evolve through a series of design collaborations. reGeneration is a ten-year-old store dealing in Mid-Century vintage furniture, with a focus on the 50's. The store specializes in vintage pieces from American and Danish designers, such as Florence Knoll, George Nelson, Edward Wormley, Jens Risom, Milo Baughman, Hans Wegner, Arne Jacobsen and Borg Mogensen. The store combines a large selection of everyday pieces with hard to find collectibles, but what really makes it unique among Mid-Century outlets is the consistency in selection, style and price.

BDDW builds each piece by hand, one at a time, in their Williamsburg Brooklyn studio. Tyler Hays, a painter and sculptor, is the company founder and head designer. Joshua Vogel, an architect and gifted craftsman, oversees the Brooklyn workshop. BDDW is known for their heirloom quality solid wood furniture, traditionally joined, in select domestic hardwoods. Their finishes are all hand rubbed with natural oils and lacquers. In beds, tables, seating, lamps and storage, BDDW has created dozens of classics and is constantly producing new and innovative work. |
