At the age of eight Sadguru Sri Mahayogi Paramahamsa spontaneously entered nirvikalpa samadhi, complete absorption without any notion or concept, and realized the Atman — True Self. He awoke to Non-dual Reality. After Realization, as an adolescent, he began intensive austerities called tapasya and through these he accomplished and mastered all the branches of Yoga, proving through his own experience that they are all genuine paths to the realization of Supreme Self or God — Everlasting Oneness or Immortal Truth.

The SHRIYOGA philosophy is an ever evolving, deepening study into the nature of the Self and the path into the true heart of the practice. The roots of SHRIYOGA begin with the non-dualist approach of Tantric yogis and scholars, who realized that each person has the whole of the universal consciousness already inside. Nothing outside needs to be sought; there is nothing you need to complete you. True wisdom is found in your inner teacher.

ta is a way of life. It is positive. It is natural. It is healthy. It is authentic.
It is a style of living that incorporates mind, body and spirit practices, such as meditation, yoga, and healthy eating, combined with the power of Thought and Expression to create a “whole” approach to life.

"We intend to provide a friendly, positive environment for you to grow and develop as a yoga student. Mary Angela Buffo and Andrew Cohen started Ananda Yoga Center seven years ago with a vision of wellness for the community. While all our classes teach the physical aspects of yoga, it is our hope that our students learn greater self awareness and in the process become better, more loving people."

You will find a relaxed atmosphere that is both inviting and instructional. Personal attention is a primary focus; therefore most sessions are taken privately or with only one other person. Our certified instructors are carefully chosen and are dedicated to their work. Their extensive resumes ensure quality teaching of the two methods. Each session focuses on form and technique coupled with the joy of movement.
