"Whiskey Ed" Houdek first opened the doors to Ye Olde Spirit Shoppe in 1965. Back then he'd deliver mail for the Bayport Post Office during the day and at night he'd work selling fine liquors and wine. In 1972 Ed doubled the size of the store making it so long and narrow that you could fit four lanes of bowling within the store's walls.
