Devonshire Mall opened August 12,1970. The area was previously the "Devonshire Raceway" in the earlier part of the 20th Century, until burning down in 1939.
When Devonshire Mall opened its doors 21 years later, it boasted 70 stores. Since then, the mall has had five expansions: 1974, 1985, 1987, 1995, and 2000. Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre is a shopping mall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Located in the neighbourhood of Bonnie Doon, it is a medium sized mall and houses only an estimated 100 stores on one floor. The mall was originally an exposed shopping centre when constructed about 1960, however it was enclosed and a large Sears store added in 1967.
