Tottenville High School was established in 1898. The school’s first principal was Nathan J. Lowe. Tottenville High School was originally located in the building now home to Totten Intermediate Junior High School (I.S. 34). In 1972, the school moved to its current location in Huguenot. Dr. Mary E. A comprehensive, four-year public high school. New Dorp is located on Staten Island, a residential borough of New York City. A neighborhood high school, attracting students who reside within its zoned boundaries.
Student enrollment is approximately 2500, with a senior class of approximately 360 students. New Dorp students represent a variety of racial, ethnic and economic groups who interact in an atmosphere of cooperation.

Cardinal Spellman HS is generally recognized as one of the finest Catholic high school structures in the nation. Its facilities include three floors of classrooms around a beautifully landscaped, Japanese-style, garden courtyard. In May of 1999, the courtyard was dedicated to the memory of Msgr Jeremiah Monahan, who had died suddenly in October, 1998.
In addition to the regular classrooms (each having closed-circuit television) there are many fully-equipped special-purpose rooms and learning spaces: a large Gymnasium which can be partioned into two or four smaller gyms, a Cafeteria for 700, a magnificent Auditorium with backstage space and rigging better than many Broadway theaters, a separate Little Theatre, a tiered Band Room and four separate and private music-practice rooms.

Offering an inquiry-based college-preparatory program with technology and arts infused throughout the curriculum.
