The Dwight School, founded in 1872, became the first school in the US to offer the three International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, Grades K-12. Brearley’s enrollment (K-12, divided into Lower School, Middle School and Upper School) today consists of about 670 students from throughout the New York metropolitan area who represent a diversity of backgrounds, experiences and points of view. The main, 12-story school building is located on East 83rd Street in Manhattan overlooking the East River. A new Field House, located on East 87th Street, anchors a comprehensive physical education and athletics program that includes team sports ranging from basketball and volleyball to soccer, swimming squash, track, field hockey and lacrosse.

ST. BERNARD'S offers motivated young boys of diverse backgrounds an exceptionally thorough, rigorous, and enjoyable introduction to learning and community life. We wish to inspire boys to appreciate hard work and fair play, to develop confidence in themselves, consideration for others and a sense of citizenship, and to have fun while doing these things.

In 1984, Townsend Harris was reopened with a new location and student body but the same spirit and desires as before. Beginning with the first new class, a tradition of expressing this spirit is found in the pledge the Townsend Harris student makes during his or her first year, known as the Ephebic Oath. The present school has had, from its inception, this rich tradition supported by an active group of alumni. The alumni arrange internships for students, serve as advisors and mentors and raise funds for special projects.

CSI High School’s consistent, curriculum-wide emphasis on the infusion of international content and study of international issues provides a unifying framework for the school’s instructional program. This theme not only provides a common focus in the development and adaptation of course content, it stimulates the development of common habits of mind such as analyzing the validity of information from a variety of perspectives, exploring and understanding linkages across cultural, economic and political lines, and understanding the significance of the past with respect to current events.

Currently, we are building a high school addition. As a result of the steady high enrollment over the past decade, SJVA was pressed to develop a strategic campus facility plan that would renovate existing buildings and increase the amount of space in our high school. Specifically, several of the oldest buildings on campus are unable to meet the space and program needs of our faculty and students. In order to maintain programs and to expand other areas of the curriculum, SJVA proposed a $5 million renovation and construction project. This will primarily consolidate the high school's academic space into a central location by enlarging and renovating the existing high school facility. A three-story wing is being built and connected to the current two-story high school. All new classrooms will be provided with "T1" Internet access lines. The project broke ground in December 2004 and is anticipated to be completed by September 2005. Of this $5 million renovation and construction project, $1 million must be raised from a capital campaign. Because St. John Villa is a private Catholic school, we do not receive public funds or money from the Archdiocese for capital projects and therefore, must seek private donations to accomplish this greatly needed project.

St. Joseph Hill Academy is a K-12 Catholic school operated by the Congregation of the Daughters of Divine Charity. It is located on a fourteen acre, park-like campus in the Arrochar section of Staten Island, New York. The elementary school provides co-education for grades K-8. The high school enrolls approximately 400 young women.

Tottenville High School was established in 1898. The school’s first principal was Nathan J. Lowe. Tottenville High School was originally located in the building now home to Totten Intermediate Junior High School (I.S. 34). In 1972, the school moved to its current location in Huguenot. Dr. Mary E. Meade was the first woman principal of a NYC co-educational school (1938–1944). In November 1987, Tottenville was selected as a “School of Excellence” by the U.S. Department of Education. Cardinal Hayes High School was built and organized by His Eminence Francis Cardinal Spellman between September, 1940 and September, 1941. Its original student body consisted of over 3000 students who attended this institution at the Main Building on the Grand Concourse or at one of the four annexes.
The school provides a quality education and religious formation for young men of the Bronx and Manhattan. Cardinal Hayes High School has been staffed since its beginning by Archdiocesan Priests, Irish Christian Brothers, De La Salle Brothers, Franciscan Brothers and Priests, Marist Brothers, Xaverian Brothers, Religious Sisters and scores of dedicated laymen and women.

The Berkeley Carroll School's college-preparatory academic program emphasizes critical thinking, informed decision-making, and life-long learning. Under the guidance of dynamic and energetic teachers, students are challenged to stretch their imaginations, discover creative resources, and strive to fulfill their intellectual promise. Cardinal Spellman HS is generally recognized as one of the finest Catholic high school structures in the nation. Its facilities include three floors of classrooms around a beautifully landscaped, Japanese-style, garden courtyard. In May of 1999, the courtyard was dedicated to the memory of Msgr Jeremiah Monahan, who had died suddenly in October, 1998.
In addition to the regular classrooms (each having closed-circuit television) there are many fully-equipped special-purpose rooms and learning spaces: a large Gymnasium which can be partioned into two or four smaller gyms, a Cafeteria for 700, a magnificent Auditorium with backstage space and rigging better than many Broadway theaters, a separate Little Theatre, a tiered Band Room and four separate and private music-practice rooms.

Bronx Science is a place where students and faculty alike experience the excitement of the motivated mind and the Samaritan heart. The people here are of a special breed, where a little push goes a long way, an all-nighter is not uncommon, and a smile is bound to appear no matter how taxing life may be at the moment. The mission of RFK Community High School is to provide all students with a high quality, comprehensive, and personalized education by incorporating the use of technology and numerous research-based teaching styles into our academic program. In addition, through the use of our service learning program, we aim to expose our students to the community around them and encourage them to become civic-minded people who are eager to support their community.

The school serves the Forest Hills and Rego Park sections of Queens. However, many students come from nearby neighborhoods such as Kew Gardens, Jackson Heights, Woodside, Flushing, Elmhurst, East Elmhurst, Astoria, Corona, Glendale and parts of Jamaica.
FHHS has often been extremely overcrowded throughout its history, sometimes running several overlapping sessions (7:20am to 1:49pm, 8:09am to 2:38pm, 8:59am to 3:28pm, 9:48 to 4:17pm, 10:37am to 5:06pm). Traditionally, a very large percentage of FHHS graduates have gone on to attend college.

N-12. Brooklyn Friends School provides a college preparatory program serving students from Preschool through Grade 12.
