The King of Prussia Mall is the largest shopping mall on the East Coast of the United States, and the largest shopping mall in the United States of America in terms of leasable retail space.
The two-building agglomeration is also arguably America's largest shopping complex at one location. It is located in King of Prussia, an area within Upper Merion Township, Pennsylvania, northwest of Philadelphia. The upscale mall, anchored by Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, JCPenney, Macy's and Sears and one vacant department store, has over 400 stores and restaurants. It is also the sole outpost in Philadelphia for a number of high-end stores including Stuart Weitzman, Hugo Boss, Betsey Johnson, Movado, Kate Spade, Furla, Molton Brown, DKNY, Cartier, Anne Fontaine, Burberry, Hermès moving to a new expanded location next to Neiman Marcus, and Louis Vuitton. King of Prussia frequently sees the addition of new luxury stores, most recently signing David Yurman, Boss Orange, Mont Blanc, Ralph Lauren, North Face, Samsonite, Thomas Pink, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Coming soon Gucci. "As you may, or may not be aware, much of what was previously the South Hills Mall in Poughkeepsie, New York has been recently demolished to make way for an outdoor shopping center. This is quite unfortunate, as the South Hills Mall brought so many people in our area such fond memories over the past 30 years. Not to mention, this mall was the original; it introduced the first true indoor shopping mall experience to Poughkeepsie. Thankfully, Silver Cinemas, K-Mart, Shop Rite, and Burlington Coat Factory have remained; which we admire, support, and highly recommend. Although, unfortunately, everything else the mall had to offer has had to go."

Chinook Centre is home to three major department stores, 200+ stores, and several full service restaurants. It still contains its original bowling alley, as well as the city's largest movie theatre complex, the Famous Players Scotiabank Theatre Chinook formerly the Paramount, with 16 screens and an IMAX. The mall also provides opportunities for more prominent retailers to design their own exterior facades.
Chinook Centre is anchored by Sears, The Bay, and Zellers department stores. Junior anchors include Old Navy, Chapters, Sport Chek, and GAP. In late 2005, the upscale US chain Williams-Sonoma opened a 4,500 square foot / 418 m² location, the fifth Canadian store in the chain, and the first store outside of the Toronto area.
