Apaixonado pela cultura inca, Zizinho conseguiu trazer na mala do seu Chevrolet, em 3 longas viagens, uma pequena, mas expressiva, coleção de cerâmicas pré-colombianas ou huacos – hoje expostas na sala principal da pousada. Deu à sua pousada o nome de Tambo que, na língua quéchua, falada pelos antigos incas, significa um pouso para o descanso, uma cabana com água e comida em abundância.
