The Liberty Bell, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an American bell of great historic significance. The Liberty Bell is perhaps one of the most prominent symbols associated with early American history and the battle for American independence and freedom. Its most famous ringing, on July 8, 1776, summoned citizens for the reading of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress. Since its birth almost forty years ago as the "First Inland Oceanarium", the Aquarium of Niagara has seen over 8 million visitors, tourists, teachers, and students pass through its doors. The Dutchess County Agricultural Society, Inc. is a nonprofit 501c5 corporation. The 80 member society is made up of interested men and women who elect the 16 member Board of Directors. This group oversees all aspects of the operation of the fair and all off season events. The General Manager works with and communicates directly to the Board. A permanent staff of eleven produces the various events and maintains the 162-acre facility throughout the year. The number of paid staff and volunteers during the fair grows to several hundred.

From its inception, Bargemusic has been committed to attracting local audiences and enhancing the cultural life of New York by offering frequent, year-round performances of chamber music in a fittingly intimate setting—the type of setting in which chamber music is meant to be heard. Union Square (also known as Union Square Park) is an important and historic intersection in New York City, located where Broadway and the Bowery came together in the early 19th century. In 1976, the Council on the Environment of New York City established the Greenmarket program, which provided regional small family farmers with opportunities to sell their fruits, vegetables and other farm products at open-air markets in the city. The most famous is the Union Square Greenmarket, held Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between 8 AM and 6 PM year round. 250,000 customers a week purchase 1,000 varieties of fruits and vegetables at the market. The variety of produce available is broader by perhaps a factor of ten than what is found in a conventional supermarket.

The Niagara Parks Commission was founded in 1885 as a self-funding agency of the Ontario Government.
The goal of The Niagara Parks Commission is: To preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the Falls and the Niagara River corridor for the enjoyment of visitors while maintaining financial independence.
When first established, The Niagara Parks Commission included the immediate area surrounding the Falls (on the Canadian side) which totalled 62.2 hectares (154 acres).
The Commission now maintains approximately 1,720 hectares (4,250 acres) of parkland stretching along the entire length of the Niagara River from Fort Erie to Niagara-on-the-Lake, with no cost to the taxpayer.

African Lion Safari is a Canadian owned family business created in the name of conservation. Our manner of exhibiting animals is completely different from the traditional approach; that is, the visitor is caged in the car, and the animals roam in 2 to 20 hectare (5 to 50 acre) reserves. We first opened the gates to the public in 1969 with 40 lions in 3 reserves; today the park houses in excess of 1000 animals of over 100 species. After 39 years we have been successful with breeding 30 species that are considered endangered, and 20 or more species that are considered threatened. The original idea of "maintaining self-sustaining populations of species in decline" is still our priority.
