In 1938 the Westminster Kennel Club was already holding its 62nd annual dog show in New York City. And to mark the occasion, Time magazine chose for its cover a gentleman named John G. Bates, who later that week would step into the ring at Madison Square Garden to select Westminster's Best In Show winner.

October - The High Plains Freedom Flight IV has come and gone. The sight was spectacular! The event was a huge success. Many thanks go out to all the great sponsors, crew, coordinators, and terrific pilots. We had 12 balloons that flew on Saturday and Sunday. The weather was great! and many spectators were on hand to take part in this great event! Although the wind kept us from flying Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning turned out better than expected. We will be posting pics as fast as we can and had some great photographers this year! Continue to watch this page for date for next year's event. Produced by the Greater Mandeville Seafood Association, Inc, The Mandeville Seafood Festival, established in 1978, is the oldest festival held in St. Tammany Parish. Attendance is estimated at over ten thousand people per day, with admission at $10.00. Children ten and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Senior citizens over sixty-five are also admitted free of charge.

Our Festival began 49 years ago in the parking lot of our school an elementary school rich in Catholic and Polish Traditions. Our festival consisted of arts and crafts and of course our wonderful Polish Homemade foods. Our Festival was on a Saturday and Sunday and held in September just after school started.

The Calgary International Film Festival Society was established in 1999 as a non-profit organization providing an annual world-class cinema event for the citizens of Calgary and area. We aim to showcase the best of national and international film to Calgary audiences. The Festival has brought numerous Canadian film premieres and world caliber filmmakers to our city. Your support is needed to continue bringing quality films to Calgary.

February. Winter carnival.

February. Snow and ice sculptures, canoe races on the frozen St. Lawrence, Queen's Ball, parades.

July-August. Caribbean-style carnival with parties, music and parade.

A lo largo de sus veinte años de existencia, el Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara se ha consolidado como un espacio privilegiado para la exhibición del cine de calidad. September/October - This year we introduce a new event program at the VIFF. As part of our hospitality and networking initiatives, the festival is hosting a regular series of receptions at our spacious new Vancouver International Film Centre.
