Established in 1998, Soho Gem's first fine jewelry boutique opened its doors in SoHo, the trendy shopping Mecca of Manhattan. With a unique selection of delicate, feminine designs and colorful, dramatic creations success was instant. One year later, a second store opened on Madison Avenue, a street renowned for its luxury shopping. The next natural step was to launch this beautiful on-line shop in 2007, long awaited by devoted customers from all over the country.

Elizabeth’s passion for antique jewelry was sparked by her trips to flea markets as a child. Today, she searches out singular antique, estate and contemporary pieces to add to Doyle & Doyle’s ever-expanding collection. She also designed the house’s first jewelry collection. Elizabeth’s years of experience in jewelry includes a degree as a graduate gemologist from the prestigious Gemological Institute of America. She also studied jewelry design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

He is the first to popularize ready-to-wear in an attempt to democratize fashion. He is also the first designer to use black models in his runway shows. After working as a handbag designer for other companies, Judith Leiber founded her own business in 1963 and quickly established herself as an industry leader at the cutting edge of luxurious fashion. Sold at exclusive boutiques around the world, her handbags cost several thousand dollars and have become a status symbol for many women including several Presidential First Ladies.
In 1994, Judith Leiber received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion Designers. Classic examples of her work can be found on permanent display at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, and at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, UK. She retired in 1998.
