Ever since 2004, this New York City-based dance collective has been creating space for movement and expression across all ages. Under the creative vision of choreographer Yurie Yoshida, the company builds opportunities for dancers to explore contemporary movement as a nonprofit venture. Their youth initiative, Little Stars Performing Arts, welcomes young learners through classes at Vanderbilt YMCA, where winter months bring cozy studio sessions that let kids discover their artistic voices. Bike New York has announced dates and details for the 2013 TD Five Boro Bike Tour, held Sunday, May 5, 2013. The Tour will be returning to a “rush” first-come, first-serve registration system which will open on Tuesday, January 22 at 12:00 p.m. EST.<br/> Held annually the first Sunday in May, the TD Five Boro Bike Tour is America’s largest cycling event with a 40 mile, traffic-free ride through all five boroughs for 32,000 cyclists. The Tour is co-produced by Bike New York, the city’s premiere bicycling organization, and the New York City Department of Transportation, in association with multiple City of New York departments. Proceeds from the event fund Bike New York’s education programs. Bike New York, aka The Five Boro Bike tour, is the largest event of it's kind in the United States. Every year on the first Sunday of May, over 30,000 riders participate in the 42 mile ride around New York City.
