At El Colorado Snow & Skate, you are not a number. In fact, you are the exact opposite: you are an individual that each and every employee cares about. You see, El Colorado is a small, customer oriented shop that began in the fall of 2000 with a dream. El Colorado wanted to buck the trend of mega-stores opening and closing, offering foot-in-the-door type advertising, and providing very little in the way of actual substance and personal interaction.

<iframe id='palyer2' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/?listType=user_uploads&list=reebok'></iframe id='palyer2'> Reebok International Limited is a British producer of athletic footwear, apparel, and accessories and is currently a subsidiary of Adidas AG. The name comes from Afrikaans/Dutch spelling of rhebok, a type of African antelope or gazelle. The company, founded in 1895, was originally called Mercury Sports but was renamed Reebok in 1960. The company's founders, Joe and Jeff Foster, found the name in a dictionary won in a race by Joe Foster as a boy; the dictionary was a South African edition, hence the spelling.
Reebok is now owned by the German footwear giant Adidas, which completed its acquisition in early 2006. Source |

Charlie McCorkell is one of the founding partners of Bicycle Habitat and the current owner. Hal Ruzal a near mythical figure in New York bike culture was the other founding partner. This is a part of the story of Bicycle Habitat. Charlie’s passion for bikes began in January of 1969 when he started commuting from his parent’s apartment in Windsor Terrace to Cooper Union in the East Village where he attended school.
January seems like a strange time to buy a bike and start riding. It took an intense dissatisfaction with the subway system and encouragement from fellow classmate and future founder of Performance Cycles Product, Francis Bollag, but Charlie’s inspiration to ride was unstoppable. He hardly ever took the train again. |

The company can be recognized by its green nan crocodile logo. Lacoste has the reputation of being culturally preppy, especially in the United States.
René Lacoste was a famous French tennis player who achieved fame in two areas: tennis and fashion. While winning the 1926 U.S. Open championship, Rene Lacoste of France wore something that he himself had created: a white, short-sleeve shirt made exclusively of a light knitted fabric called ‘jersey petit piqué’ that served to wick away moisture due to heat, the very first version of performance clothing in sports. The shirt was a radical departure from tennis fashion of the day, which called for stiff, woven, long-sleeve oxfords. In 1927 during the Davis Cup, the American press nicknamed Lacoste "the Alligator" because of a bet made about an alligator-skin suitcase. With no cognate in his native tongue, the nickname was changed to le crocodile in French. The nickname stuck due to his tenacious behavior on the courts, never giving up his prey. Lacoste’s friend, Robert Georges, drew him a crocodile which Lacoste then embroidered on the blazer he wore on the courts. Source |

Prime Skate Shop was Established in April of 2006. But the idea was burning for the past 10 years. Having been skateboarding for 20 years, the three owners Rich Petersen, Kevin Rochon & William Snell who have been friends since childhood, have grownup snowboarding and skateboarding. Lived and worked at mountains in the winter to snowboard as much as possible as well as built skateboard halfpipes in back yards and skated anywhere there was concrete or wood. All of these things had fueled the desire to one day go into business selling and promoting the sports that they are so passionate about. After months of planning reasserting locations and building out the store. Prime skateshop was born April 8th 2006. The Home of the "Ministaz"

Thinking of buying a new bicycle? One of your first choices, and not necessarily an easy one, will be where to shop. It can be a challenge because there are a myriad of stores that carry two-wheelers, from specialty retailers, to giant department stores, to backyard garage operations. Where you buy, however, has everything to do with what you get. You see, bicycles aren't like toasters or suitcases. Bikes are shipped in boxes and they must be assembled and tuned. There are many types, too, and you should never buy until you've figured out which is right for you. Measurements and adjustments are required to ensure the frame is the correct size and that the seat and handlebars are properly positioned. And, every new bicycle will need a minor tune-up after several weeks of use. What's more, modern road and mountain bikes can travel at high speeds and carry you over demanding terrain where the machine's materials and construction get tested. A quality two-wheeler, carefully assembled and fit to you, will be the safest, most durable and fun bicycle to ride. For these reasons, we strongly recommend shopping at a good specialty bicycle store in our area. For instance, we hire competent salespeople and expert mechanics who'll ensure that you get the right bike and a quality machine. Look for a store that's clean, has helpful personnel, offers a good selection, and an on-site repair department |
