Pier 96 offers Walk up Kayaking every weekend and holiday from 9AM until 6PM with the last boat going out at 5:30, and weekday evenings from 5PM-7PM with the last boat going out at 6:30PM in July and August. Introductory classes are held at Pier 96 every Wednesday at 6PM.
The Downtown Boathouse is an all volunteer-run nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free public access to the harbor in New York City through public kayaking programs. Downtown Boathouse's mission is to encourage safe public use of the harbor waters of New York City and thereby provide residents of this space-constrained city with increased recreational opportunities. It supports our operations exclusively through public donations and the efforts of volunteers.

Wolfe’s Pond Park contains mature upland woods, swamp forest, open marsh, ponds, and shoreline on Raritan Bay, making it one of the most diverse parks in the city. This large park is a refuge for scores of native plants and animals in a rapidly developing area of the city. The beach is part of the shoreline strand that runs continuously from Ward’s Point in Conference House Park, north through Mount Loretto and Lemon Creek Preserve, to Wolfe’s Pond Park.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center has garnered national attention in its first thirteen seasons, serving as a model for programming, audience diversity, education initiatives, and the catalytic role it has played in returning nightlife and economic activity to NJ's largest urban community. On its Opening Night in 1997, NJPAC became the sixth largest performing arts center in the U.S. (based on annual operating budget).

In 1978, the zoo closed to embark upon a two-year upgrade project. 1980 marked the rebirth of the zoo; it reopened with a new Nature Center, a Polar bear exhibit, a boardwalk through a native wetlands area and a North American bison exhibit. And as they say, the rest is history. The current, vibrant state of Roger Williams Park Zoo is due to the hard work, persistence, and cooperation of both public and private sector, as well as the general public, for whom this zoo exists.

A History of Providing Family Fun
In 1963 the Clark family of Lancaster, PA, founded DUTCH WONDERLAND Family Amusement Park. With just 18 acres and 4 rides it quickly became a welcome destination for family fun. Over the years DUTCH WONDERLAND has grown to 48 acres and over 30 rides, special shows and attractions, and related properties including DISCOVER LANCASTER COUNTY HISTORY MUSEUM, OLD MILLSTREAM Campground, WONDERLAND Mini-Golf, and The Gift House at Kitchen Kettle Village.

Built to honor the nation’s 16th President, the memorial blends the work of architect Henry Bacon, sculptor Daniel Chester French, artist Jules Guerin, and a host of others. The materials used in this memorial demonstrate a concerted effort to assemble stones from several regions of the Union into a great classical tribute to Lincoln. The Schenley Park Skating Rink is open for ice skating during the winter. Throughout the winter the rink operates daily and offers a variety of public sessions and special sessions such as family nights, adults only nights and college ID discount sessions. The facility hosts three special events: "Skate with Santa" in December, "Mascot Skate" in January, and "Valentines on Ice" in February. The Schenley Park Skating Rink also features a meeting/banquet room with kitchen available for rental year-round.

Zoo New England subsists on earned revenues and state, private, and corporate funding. Southwick’s is a privately owned zoo. Therefore, the zoo does not receive state, local, or federal funding of any kind. All admission proceeds go directly towards caring for the animals and upkeep of the zoo. Fifty thousand years ago, a continental glacier moved southward over New Hampshire covering mountains and valleys. As the ice sheet thawed, great blocks of granite cracked and loosened from Hawk's Cliff.
These massive granite blocks fell at the base of the cliff forming Polar Caves, an amazing series of caves and passages through which you can walk.

The area which is now known as Elizabeth Park was once owned by Charles H. Pond. Mr. Pond was a wealthy industrialist and statesman whose career included the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, Hartford National Bank, and Treasurer of the State of Connecticut.
Today the park encompasses 102 acres and boasts many garden areas, pathways, greenhouses, lawns, a picnic grove, a pond and recreation areas.
