Sixty-five years ago Eric Shrubsole and his father opened a branch of their London Shop, S.J. Shrubsole, in New York City. Driving a 1936 Packard full of silver across country, Mr. Shrubsole succeeded in building a clientele throughout the United States. Since then we have had the good fortune to work with some of the world's greatest collectors - from the serious, such as Irwin Untermyer and Henry Francais duPont, to the compulsive, such as Arthur Gilbert and William Randolph Hearst, to the compulsively unserious, such as Groucho Marx. And we have dealt with some of the world's greatest rarities - including Paul de Lamerie's magnificent Sutherland wine cistern now in the Minneapolis Institute of Arts; the Elizabethan ewer and basin in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the Ashburnham centerpiece by Nicholas Sprimont in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

Maurice Badler established his business in America over fifty years ago. Prior to that, he was a master diamond cutter in Antwerp, Belgium. His painstaking attention to small details earned him a reputation as a perfectionist. As a skilled gemologist, he has earned a reputation for skill and honesty on par with his father. But now, he's taken the excitement of the company to a new level. On display are tantalizing examples of mixed semiprecious stones of blue and gray hues set in 14-karat white gold, and sterling rings and necklaces. Her rings are often used as alternatives to the traditional wedding band, and her earrings and bracelets are office-appropriate. De Verteuil studied fashion design at FIT, and then decided to become an accessories designer. With a background that includes accessory design for Yves St. Laurent, De Verteuil is also an instructor at Parsons School of Design, teaching courses in sterling silver jewelry, beading on fabric, applique, and combined beading and embroidery, the latter being one of the most sought-after accessory trends for the holiday.

Elizabeth’s passion for antique jewelry was sparked by her trips to flea markets as a child. Today, she searches out singular antique, estate and contemporary pieces to add to Doyle & Doyle’s ever-expanding collection. She also designed the house’s first jewelry collection. Elizabeth’s years of experience in jewelry includes a degree as a graduate gemologist from the prestigious Gemological Institute of America. She also studied jewelry design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

After working as a handbag designer for other companies, Judith Leiber founded her own business in 1963 and quickly established herself as an industry leader at the cutting edge of luxurious fashion. Sold at exclusive boutiques around the world, her handbags cost several thousand dollars and have become a status symbol for many women including several Presidential First Ladies. <br> In 1994, Judith Leiber received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion Designers. Michael has always designed collections using classic materials that he is inherently drawn to: silver, gold, diamonds, an endless variety of semi-precious stones, as well as more unusual natural materials found in travels around the world. Early in his career, he discovered the ancient technique of granulation, in which metal is heated and formed into tiny spheres which are affixed in various patterns. Incorporating this design element alongside clean crisp lines into much of his work provides a signature that is uniquely his own. Using this wide mix of materials and an extensive vocabulary of design elements allows him to present collections that combine his modern, functional sensibility with an infinite respect for the hues, textures, and compositions abundant in nature.
