O Centro Cultural Suassuna está localizado na Barra da Tijuca. No complexo do CCS são realizados eventos culturais e empresariais, tais como: teatro adulto e infantil, espetáculos de dança, shows, exposições, filmes, congressos, palestras, além de um calendário constante de cursos, wokshops e oficinas. O CCS tem como proposta trazer para adultos e crianças as novidades culturais, o que é aplaudido pela crítica e o que é sucesso entre o público do Rio de Janeiro e do Brasil.
O complexo abriga 2 (dois) teatros com capacidade para 280 pessoas cada um e galeria de arte.

A partir da adaptação de um auditório da Escola Municipal Dom Aquino Corrêa, feita por um grupo que deixou o Tablado (Fábio Sabag, Germano Filho e Cláudio Correa e Castro), o Gláucio Gill foi inaugurado com nome de Teatro da Praça.
A homenagem ao ator Gláucio Gill ocorreu durante o governo Carlos Lacerda.

O Teatro Raimundo Magalhães Junior, patrocinado pela Petrobrás e estabelecido no prédio da Academia Brasileira de Letras é um espaço de médio porte, aconchegante e confortável. É uma justa homenagem ao imortal cearense, jornalista, biógrafo e teatrólogo, eleito em 1956 para a cadeira nº 34 na sucessão de D. Aquino Corrêa. O Espaço apresenta além de peças teatrais, espetáculos de MPB muito concorridos.

Concebido inicialmente para abrigar uma extensão da Biblioteca Mário de Andrade, o Centro Cultural São Paulo acabou sofrendo, no decorrer de suas obras, uma série de adaptações para se transformar em um dos primeiros espaços culturais multidisciplinares do país.
Inaugurado em 1982, oferece espetáculos de teatro, dança e música, mostras de artes visuais, projeções de cinema e vídeo, oficinas, debates e cursos, além de manter sob sua guarda expressivos acervos da cidade de São Paulo: a Coleção de Arte da Cidade, a Discoteca Oneyda Alvarenga, a coleção da Missão de Pesquisas Folclóricas de Mário de Andrade, o Arquivo Multimeios e um conjunto de bibliotecas

O Teatro Municipal João Caetano foi reinaugurado em 1995, após uma profunda restauração. O projeto de recuperação encarou um grande desafio que era respeitar os aspectos históricos e ao mesmo tempo dotá-lo de modernidade. Ao longo de sua história, o teatro sofreu sucessivas obras de reformas que foram alterando a forma original do prédio, adaptando espaços e desfigurando seus seus núcleos históricos, dando origem a um prédio com características de diferentes épocas. No entanto, a fachada manteve as linhas arquitetônicas neoclássicas da reforma de 1888 e 1889.

The Majestic Theatre is a Broadway theatre located at 245 West 44th Street in midtown Manhattan.
An earlier theatre with the same name had been located at 5 Columbus Circle, the present site of the Time-Warner building. Designed in 1903 by John Duncan, the architect of Grant's Tomb, the theatre hosted original musicals, including The Wizard of Oz and Babes in Toyland, and briefly served as a studio for NBC. The Vivian Beaumont Theater is a theater in New York City in the United States. It is located at Lincoln Center, 150 W. 65th Street, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It was designed by the renowned Finnish American architect Eero Saarinen. Although it was built for the presentation of plays such as those produced on Broadway, it differs from traditional Broadway theaters because of its amphitheater configuration and thrust stage. The building includes two auditoriums, the 1,080-seat Vivian Beaumont Theater and the 299-seat Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (called The Forum until 1973). The Beaumont is considered a fairly large theater for dramatic plays and a medium-size theater for musicals. It is New York's only Broadway-class theater (eligible for Tony Awards) that is not located in the Theater District near Times Square. Source

Em 8 de março de 1979, era inaugurado o teatro Villa-Lobos, com a presença do governador do Estado, Floriano Faria Lima e Adolpho Bloch (1908-1995), então presidente da Funarj. Com três unidades cênicas – o teatro e duas salas Monteiro Lobato (Espaço II) e Arnaldo Niskier (Espaço III) –, preserva a característica de receber espetáculos inéditos e trabalhos experimentais nos espaços anexos.
A escolha do nome para o teatro foi uma homenagem ao maestro Heitor Villa-Lobos, um dos maiores compositores brasileiros, autor de mais de mil músicas. Compôs peças de vários gêneros - concertos, sinfonias, suítes, quartetos de cordas, sonatas, arranjos para coro, peças para pequenos conjuntos e grande orquestra. Com maestria conseguiu mesclar o folclore brasileiro com a música de concerto européia.

The Lyceum Theatre is a legitimate Broadway theatre located at 149 West 45th Street in midtown-Manhattan.
It has the distinction of being the oldest surviving Broadway venue (along with the New Amsterdam Theatre), the oldest continuously operating legitimate theatre in New York City, and the first Broadway theatre ever to be granted landmark status. It is one of the few theatres in New York to operate under its original name.
The theatre maintains most of its original Beaux-Arts design, including its elaborate marble staircases and undulating marquee. Although it has three levels, it is one of the smallest Broadway theatres in terms of capacity, seating only 950. An apartment located above the orchestra, originally used by Frohman, is now the headquarters of the Shubert Archives. Source

The Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre is a legitimate Broadway theatre located at 242 West 45th Street in midtown-Manhattan.
Designed by architect Herbert J. Krapp, it opened as the Royale Theatre on January 11, 1927 with a musical entitled Piggy. John Golden leased and renamed the theatre for himself from 1932 to 1937, when the Shubert Organization assumed ownership and leased the theater to CBS Radio until 1940, when it was restored to its original use and name. On May 9, 2005, it was renamed for longtime Shubert Organization president Bernard B. Jacobs. Source

The Palace Theatre is a legitimate Broadway theatre located at 1564 Broadway in midtown-Manhattan.
Designed by architects Kirchoff & Rose, the theatre, built by California vaudeville entrepreneur and Broadway impresario Martin Beck, experienced a number of problems before it opened. E. F. Albee, one of the main executives for B. F. Keith and his powerful vaudeville circuit, demanded that Beck turn over three-quarters of the stock in the theatre in order to use acts from the Keith circuit. In addition, Oscar Hammerstein was the only person who could offer Keith acts in that section of Broadway, so Beck paid him off with $225,000. The theatre finally opened on March 24, 1913 with headliner Ed Wynn. To "play the Palace" meant that an entertainer had reached the pinnacle of his career, and it became a popular venue with performers like Sarah Bernhardt, Eddie Cantor, Bob Hope, Fanny Brice, Sophie Tucker, George Jessel, and Jack Benny. A abertura do Espaço dos Parlapatões aconteceu no dia 11 de setembro de 2006, com mais de 600 pessoas. Foi uma festa do teatro, que começou na rua - Os Parlapatões derrubaram as torres gêmeas (encenada) contra todos os preconceitos, abrindo as portas para o público. Além do coro Collegium Musicum, com regência de Abel Rocha, atores convidados (Barbara Paz, Jairo Mattos, Marco Ricca, Rosi Campos e Marcelo Drummond) leram trechos de peças da companhia.

O teatro hoje tornou-se um dos mais aconchegantes e sofisticados espaços culturais do Rio de Janeiro. O projeto arquitetônico foi idealizado pelo aclamado Luiz Marinho e conta também com a iluminação sofisticada e gabaritada de Peter Gasper.
E se não bastasse, outras mudanças estão presentes.
Contamos com um moderno sistema de som de última geração, além da ampliação dos toilettes em pontos estratégicos e entradas especiais para deficientes físicos e idosos.

Situado a doze metros abaixo da superfície terrestre. Foi inaugurado no dia 3 de setembro de 2001, após dez anos de obras e escavações no quarto e quinto subsolos de um edifício, no bairro do Sumaré. Seu nome vem da sua localização subterrânea e é, também, uma homenagem ao espetáculo Viagem ao Centro da Terra realizado, em 1992, pela Kompanhia Teatro Multimidia de São Paulo.
Além da sala de apresentações equipada para atender um público de cem pessoas, o Centro da Terra ocupa os quatro andares superiores do edifício com salas de ensaios e atividades diversas dos seus núcleos de pesquisa (interpretação, dramaturgia e montagem). O Teatro Poeira, de propriedade das atrizes Marieta Severo e Andréa Beltrão, pretende ocupar no pequeno e aconchegante espaço, não só preencher a lacuna deixada, desde o fechamento no início dos anos 70, do saudoso Poeira de Ipanema, mas, cumprir seu destino de abrir uma porta para o mundo incluindo todos os personagens, todos os lugares, todas as idéias e todos os sentimentos. É só o começo de uma caminhada.

Sua existência envolve um pouco da própria história do teatro no Brasil. Desde 1868, havia na esquina da Rua do Espírito Santo, hoje Pedro I, com Praça Tiradentes, o elegante Hotel Richelieu, com orquestra na sala de refeições e plantado no centro de belo jardim. Seu proprietário, Mr. Richard, resolveu transformá-lo em casa de espetáculos, inaugurando em 1872 o Teatro Cassino Franco-Brésilien.
Em 1904, Pascoal Segreto comprou e rebatizou o teatro com o nome de Carlos Gomes. Em meio a sucessivos incêndios, o edifício onde ele se situa acompanhava o desenvolvimento arquitetônico da cidade, mas sempre abrigando um teatro.
Em 1963 a classe teatral movimentou-se contra a tentativa de transformar o teatro em cinema. A reação impediu o cinema, mas não o abandono do espaço, alugado para shows de MPB na década de 70. Em 88, custoso para seus donos e degradado, foi posto à venda. A Prefeitura do Rio o comprou e realizou uma grande reforma, transformando-o em 93 num dos melhores teatros da cidade. Hoje, além da sala principal, funcionam a Sala Paraíso e o Café Guarani, reservado para espetáculos musicais.

The Belasco Theatre is a legitmate Broadway theatre located at 111 West 44th Street in midtown-Manhattan.
Designed by architect George Keister for impresario David Belasco, the interior featured Tiffany lighting and ceiling panels, rich woodwork and expansive murals, and a ten-room duplex penthouse apartment that Belasco utilized as combination living quarters/office space.
Technically it was outfitted with the most advanced stagecraft tools available, including extensive lighting rigs, a hydraulics system, and vast wing and fly space.
It opened as the Stuyvesant Theatre on October 16, 1907 with the musical A Grand Army Man with Antoinette Perry. Three years later Belasco attached his own name to the venue. After his death in 1931, it was leased first by actress Katharine Cornell and then playwright Elmer Rice. The Shuberts bought it in 1949 and leased it to NBC for three years before returning it to legitimate use.
This theater is the subject of an urban legend that David Belasco's ghost haunts the theater every night. Some performers in the shows that played there have even claimed to have spotted him or other ghosts during performances. Source

The Winter Garden Theatre is a Broadway theatre located at 1634 Broadway in midtown-Manhattan. Architect William Albert Swasey converted the former American Horse Exchange into a theatre for the Shuberts when they acquired the property. The fourth New York City venue to be christened the Winter Garden, it opened on March 10, 1911 with the early Jerome Kern musical La Belle Paree.
It was completely remodeled in 1922 by Herbert J. Krapp. The large stage is wider than those in most Broadway houses, and the proscenium arch is relatively low. The building is situated uniquely on its lot, with the main entrance and marquee, located on Broadway, connected to the 1530-seat Seventh Avenue auditorium via a long hallway, and the rear wall of the stage abutting 50th Street.
