Timothy John started his career as an assistant in an intercoiffure salon. Intercoiffure is a world-renowned hairdressing association that trains and practices hairstyling with the highest of standards. After three years of rigorous training and “on the floor” experience, which allowed him to master each technique in hairstyling, Timothy moved on to pursue the dream of opening his own salon. <br> Timothy John’s Salon-Wisconsin, which included hairstyling, massage and nails, was located in the middle of the business district of downtown Milwaukee and quickly became very successful. For six years, Timothy and his stylists continued training in advanced hair cutting and color techniques through Vidal Sassoon, Toni and Guy, Goldwell, Matrix and Aveda in classes offered exclusively to stylists with detailed experience.<br> In 1999, Timothy moved to NYC and worked at a Salon in midtown, where he began building a clientele of business professionals and Broadway performers. Two years later, Timothy left to start his own salon, gathering a team of stylists to whom he could pass on his vast knowledge and experience. Under the leadership of Timothy and David Spangenthal, Timothy John’s Salon, NYC, opened in the fall of 2001, with a mission to fill the salon with professional stylists personally trained by Timothy, and who remain enthusiastic and dedicated to continuing their personal growth and education.

George Bellows (1882–1925) was regarded as one of America's greatest artists when he died, at the age of forty-two, from a ruptured appendix. Bellows's early fame rested on his powerful depictions of boxing matches and gritty scenes of New York City's tenement life, but he also painted cityscapes, seascapes, war scenes, and portraits, and made illustrations and lithographs that addressed many of the social, political, and cultural issues of the day. Featuring some one hundred works from Bellows's extensive oeuvre, this landmark loan exhibition is the first comprehensive survey of the artist's career in nearly half a century. It invites the viewer to experience the dynamic and challenging decades of the early twentieth century through the eyes of a brilliant observer. <br/> Once you step between the doors of this monumental edifice of man’s artistic achievement, you enter into a living body of culture and civilization collected from the four corners of the earth. Heartland Brewer and Beer Hall is the fourth beer hall to opened under the Heartland Brewery. The Beer Hall is located at the South Street Seaport at the corner of Fulton Street and faces Pier 17 and the East River. The bar offers great food, a wide range of seasonal beers on tap and even has a function room for private parties.

Lower Manhattan’s newest home for contemporary dance. DNA is proud to present and promote artistic excellence in dance performance, education and the creation process. DNA’s mission includes professional-level training, opportunities for creation and the latest in dance performance. In DNA’s studios each week, 170 classes are taught, rehearsals are run, workshops are conducted and choreographers create. DNA is a valuable resource for the aspiring, emerging and established artist, who benefit from artistic residencies, studio and administrative office subsidies, commissions and two performance seasons that offer presentations of new dance works, many of them world premieres.
