Foothills Mall is an indoor regional shopping mall located in Maryville, Tennessee, a suburb of Knoxville. Foothills Mall features approximately 70 stores and restaurants. Opened in 1983, Foothills Mall is the only shopping mall in burgeoning suburban Blount County, part of the Knoxville Metropolitan Area. The mall was originally anchored by Maryville based Proffitt's, a regional department store; Miller's, another regional department store that was a division of Allied Stores; JC Penney; and Sears. Opened in the 1970s, the mall features Dick's Sporting Goods, Belk, JCPenney, and Sears, Roebuck and Company as anchor stores, with more than 70 inline tenants.
Recently, there have been a series of major additions/expansions being undertaken. Several stores including American Eagle Outfitters and Game Stop were relocated from the lower level as the old Kroger & Piccadilly Cafeterias anchor space and SupeRx store was demolished to make way for a Dick's Sporting Goods.
