THAI YOGA BODYWORK (Nuad Bo-Rarn) is an ancient healing art with origins in Ayurvedic yoga, Chinese medicine and Buddhist meditation. It combines passive stretching, joint mobilization, acupressure, soft tissue manipulation and energy meridian work to reduce stress and create balance throughout the body. Thai yoga is performed in comfortable clothing, barefoot, on a floor mat and is suitable for clients of all ages and abilities. The Dance Studio of Park Slope is the original center for dance and fitness in Park Slope for both Children and Adults. The Willow was founded by Jennifer Shea in 2002 with the hlep of Gina Addeo. Jenna moved to Staten Island in December 2001 from East Hampton, NY where she worked full time as a Pilates/Dance teacher at the reknowned Gurneys Inn Resort and Spa. Following September 11, 2001, Jenna wanted to use her expertise to help heal victims of this tragedy but found that nowhere on Staten Island was a facility for her to find employment.

The Owner/Director of PILATES STATEN ISLAND, Celeste Zopich, is a former dancer classically trained in ballet and Martha Graham technique. She studied and performed with The Clive Thompson Dance Company and also studied under the direction of Ms. Ellen Tharp of the Staten Island Ballet. It was her dance background that brought her to Pilates where she trained comprehensively in the STOTT™ Pilates Method and received her Certificate of Training for all levels of Pilates work. Celeste enhanced her training through work either private and in small workshop settings with Mary Bowen, Lolita San Miguel, Kathy Grant, and Ron Fletcher. Celeste holds the highest National Credential as a PMA - Gold Certified Teacher.
