When Craig Van Den Brulle opened Capitol Furnishings in the Nolita section of New York City in 1997, he had already developed the "urban clean" design philosophy that quickly made Capitol a shopping destination for influential architects, interior designers and collectors. The first of his signature collections, this hand-finished and one-of-a-kind line is the essence of understated elegance, combining Van Den Brulle's passion for beauty with an insistence on fine craftsmanship and high quality.

DESIRON was founded in 1997 by Frank Carfaro and his brother. The company is a continuation of a rich family tradition originating in Turin, Italy, where their great-grandfather was an ironsmith. The business is continued by Frank Carfaro, President/Founder and head of design. The business is rooted in the classical training of Mid-Century furniture design and production.
