DESIRON was founded in 1997 by Frank Carfaro and his brother. The company is a continuation of a rich family tradition originating in Turin, Italy, where their great-grandfather was an ironsmith. The business is continued by Frank Carfaro, President/Founder and head of design. The business is rooted in the classical training of Mid-Century furniture design and production. Clean lines marry with rich materials and the utmost attention to detail.
Paul Vetrano, supplies the chairs for about 40 percent of Manhattan's restaurants, in the showroom of his business, New York Chair Co. in Manhattan. Whatever the cuisine, restaurant supplier Paul Vetrano has the seat to match. Everyone opening a restaurant these days hopes to emulate the runway success if the perpetually packed Balthazar in Soho, right down to the retro brasserie's signature stool: a clubby wine colored padded vinyl cushion with brass nailheads astride a mahogany frame. He should know Vetrano sells chairs and stools to 40 percent of New York City's 10,000 eateries and many outside of the city, from dumpy diners and Asian noodle houses to sleek coffee bars and posh French brasserie's. While a chair may not be the focal point of the restaurant, says Vetrano, it's rolled in the overall dinning experience cannot be under estimated.

Las Venus opened in 1995 on Ludlow Street in the up-and- coming Lower East Side of Manhattan. In the late 1990's, the Lower East Side experienced a renaissance, emerging as one of New York City's hippest neighborhoods. Las Venus and its celebration of 20th Century Pop Culture quickly became the talk of Ludlow Street.
Planned from the start to be a lively, artfully cluttered, friendly store, boasting a huge and ever-changing inventory of colorfully outrageous pieces, Las Venus has attracted a great deal of attention from the print and broadcast media. Fashion shoots featuring models lounging and cavorting on Las Venus furniture have livened up Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and other international magazines. Frank Rogin, a third-generation antiques dealer, has been in business since 1993. BDDW builds each piece by hand, one at a time, in their Williamsburg Brooklyn studio. Tyler Hays, a painter and sculptor, is the company founder and head designer. Joshua Vogel, an architect and gifted craftsman, oversees the Brooklyn workshop. BDDW is known for their heirloom quality solid wood furniture, traditionally joined, in select domestic hardwoods. Their finishes are all hand rubbed with natural oils and lacquers.

Located on W.14th St. in New York City’s Meatpacking District, our Studio is sited in a recently landmarked building from the early 1900s. Following in the area’s industrial vein, the 4,000 square foot loft environment is characterized by raw concrete floors and exposed brick walls. The neighborhood has become home to high–end designer clothing boutiques, multi–starred restaurants and galleries. One of the only DWR Studios to feature weekly window displays, the space displays a wide selection of seating, bedroom designs, workspace and outdoor furniture, lighting and accessories. Studio Proprietor Brian Lynch oversees the Studio and provides personalized, knowledgeable assistance along with his staff.
