Lin-Weinberg gallery was founded in 1995 by Andy Lin and Larry Weinberg to create a permanent retail space in which to present a diverse collectiion of modern design and decorative art. <br> Prior to opening the gallery, Andy and Larry were show exhibitors at major twentieth century/modern venues.

Las Venus opened in 1995 on Ludlow Street in the up-and- coming Lower East Side of Manhattan. In the late 1990's, the Lower East Side experienced a renaissance, emerging as one of New York City's hippest neighborhoods. Las Venus and its celebration of 20th Century Pop Culture quickly became the talk of Ludlow Street. <br> Planned from the start to be a lively, artfully cluttered, friendly store, boasting a huge and ever-changing inventory of colorfully outrageous pieces, Las Venus has attracted a great deal of attention from the print and broadcast media. Fashion shoots featuring models lounging and cavorting on Las Venus furniture have livened up Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and other international magazines. Numerous music videos have been shot in Las Venus and MTV does regular broadcasts from the store with VJs interviewing music stars such as Bjork.

A passion for 19th-century pieces took root early—Karl Kemp still recalls picking up a Biedermeier chair in his early twenties, a purchase inspired by his mother's discerning eye for antiques back in Cologne. Growing up surrounded by her Neo-Classical collection shaped how he sees design and craftsmanship, eventually drawing him deeper into art history and architectural study. Before settling into furniture, his career wound through New York City in the early 1970s, where he managed acquisitions for The Brooklyn Public Library. These days, winter visitors find his showroom a quiet retreat from the cold Northeast season, a warm space to explore carefully curated pieces with the kind of thoughtful authenticity that comes from a lifetime of appreciation.

Todd Hase Furniture, Inc. includes a full collection of upholstery, tables, casegoods, accessories and textiles. Designed by Todd Hase, the line is distinctly modern. It uses a classic vocabulary of shapes and lines to offer a pared down, simplified yet extremely palatable, ultimately usable line of home furnishings. Old world techniques of manufacturing are applied to these modern products: eight-way handtied springs fill upholstered seating and hand fitted marquetry patterns of beautiful veneers enhance tables, casegoods and lighting.

reGeneration is a ten-year-old store dealing in Mid-Century vintage furniture, with a focus on the 50's. The store specializes in vintage pieces from American and Danish designers, such as Florence Knoll, George Nelson, Edward Wormley, Jens Risom, Milo Baughman, Hans Wegner, Arne Jacobsen and Borg Mogensen. The store combines a large selection of everyday pieces with hard to find collectibles, but what really makes it unique among Mid-Century outlets is the consistency in selection, style and price.
