A Associação Vitoriana de Ensino Superior – AVIES, mantenedora da Faculdade Vitoriana de Tecnologia, Faculdade Vitoriana de Ciências Contábeis e Instituto de Ensino Superior e Formação Avançada de Vitória – FAVI, apresenta o seu portfólio, com o objetivo de demonstrar um excelente empreendimento na área da educação no nível superior.
A FAVI iniciou suas atividades no mêsz de março do ano de 1995 com os cursos de Sistemas de Informação e Ciências Contábeis. Hoje oferecemos 16 (dezesseis) cursos superiores, como: Administração de Empresas, com ênfases em Análise de Sistemas, Comércio Exterior, Gestão Hoteleira, Marketing e Recursos Humanos, Ciências Contábeis, Ciências da Computação, Direito, Fisioterapia, Pedagogia, Psicologia, Sistemas de Informação e Turismo.

The year of 2007 marked the 50th anniversary of Bronx Community College which was established in 1957 after a decade of effort by civic-minded groups in Bronx County to meet the growing need for increased higher education facilities in the “Borough of Universities and Progress.” Classes began with 125 students on February 2, 1959 at the former site of the Bronx High School of Science at Creston Avenue and 184th Street.

Dartmouth College is a private academic institution in Hanover, New Hampshire, in the United States. It is a member of the Ivy League and is one of the nine colonial colleges founded before the American Revolution. Founded in 1769 by Eleazar Wheelock, with funds partially raised by the efforts of a Native American preacher named Samson Occom, it is the ninth-oldest college in the United States and the seventh-wealthiest in terms of funds per-student. Furman University is the oldest, largest and most selective private institution in South Carolina. Founded in 1826, Furman moved three times in its early years before being charted as Furman University and settling in Greenville in 1850. The most recent move was in 1961, when Furman relocated to its current 800-acre location on the outskirts of Greenville.
The move to the stunning, new campus served as a catalyst for Furman’s ongoing transformation from a primarily regional college to one of the leading liberal arts colleges in the United States. O campus Niterói da Universidade Estácio de Sá está localizado no coração da cidade de Niterói. A Universidade Federal do Maranhão tem sua origem na antiga Faculdade de Filosofia de São Luís do Maranhão, fundada em 1953, por iniciativa da Academia Maranhense de Letras, da Fundação Paulo Ramos e da Arquidiocese de São Luís. Embora inicialmente sua mantenedora fosse aquela Fundação, por força da Lei Estadual n.º 1.976 de 31/12/59 dela se desligou e, posteriormente, passou a integrar a Sociedade Maranhense de Cultura Superior- SOMACS, que fora criada em 29/01/56 com a finalidade de promover o desenvolvimento da cultura do Estado, inclusive criar uma Universidade Católica.

A meta do CESV é a autonomia intelectual do aluno. Ao longo do curso, ele é motivado para definir problemas, examinar várias alternativas para tratá-los, integrar diferentes áreas do conhecimento, fazer leituras, buscar dados, pesquisar, entrevistar, estruturar o seu raciocínio, chegar a conclusões e apresentá-las em público, de forma correta.
A Iniciação Científica (IC) tem sido a valorização do trabalho em grupos de pesquisa, com a participação de vários professores e alunos. Nessa atividade, dá-se ênfase a um trabalho de pesquisa que colabore não só no processo de transformação da Faculdade e da sociedade, mas também na integração entre pesquisa e ensino na graduação e na pós-graduação. Com esse objetivo, o CESV já organizou, em 2003, a sua "1ª Jornada de Iniciação Científica" na qual participaram alunos bolsistas do Cesv, alunos da pós-graduação, professores, pesquisadores do Cesv e convidados.
