Chef Carrie Levin grew up between two worlds—born in New York City but raised in Brussels, where she spent her formative years immersed in her family's tight-knit restaurant scene. She picked up French and bits of Flemish along the way, absorbing the rhythms of hospitality alongside her younger brother while their parents ran a pair of intimate eateries. That European upbringing shapes everything she does now, bringing those warm, convivial Belgian dining traditions back to her native Manhattan. Winter months here have a particular coziness—the kind that makes you crave the hearty, welcoming food she serves.
