The New York City Employment and Training Coalition (NYCETC) is an association of workforce development practitioners — community based organizations, community colleges and union affiliated training programs — committed to providing high quality education, training and employment services to unemployed and underemployed New Yorkers. To that end, the Coalition provides staff development, research and technical assistance to member organizations and advocates for workforce development policies that expand public investment in our workforce.

The Academy was founded in 1992 on a belief that a top qualify education in filmmaking should be accessible to anyone with the drive and ambition to make films. The Academy opened its doors in 1992 in Robert DeNiro‘s Tribeca Film Center. Since that time we have grown into our own facilities in Manhattan‘s Union Square and Soho. We also opened Film Academies at Universal Studios in Los Angeles and St. Catherine’s College Oxford University, England. We hold One-Year and short-term programs throughout the year in these locations. During the summer we offer our short-term programs at a number of additional locations, including Harvard University; Princeton University; Disney-MGM Studios-Florida; Paris, France; and Florence, Italy.

In 1984 I founded The French Culinary Institute with a singular vision-to create a world-class culinary school that set itself apart from other cooking schools by combining classic French techniques with American inventiveness in a fast-paced curriculum. Today The FCI is one of the most prestigious culinary institutes in the world. And for a good reason: our distinguished faculty. It includes the celebrated master chefs Alain Sailhac, Jacques Pépin, André Soltner, Jacques Torres, Alice Waters, and master sommelier Andrea Robinson (formerly Andrea Immer). And, our visiting lecturers include culinary powerhouses such as star alumnus Bobby Flay, and Marcella Hazan. In fact, The FCI is the only place Marcella teaches!

Career Blazers Learning Center was established in 1980 by its parent company Career Blazers Staffing Services. The school’s mission was to provide individuals with the skills that were required in the workplace and to ensure that local corporations had access to talented personnel and career advancement training.
