The Deptford Mall is a major shopping destination in Deptford Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. It is the seventh largest mall in the state of New Jersey and the second largest in the state's South Jersey region. Owned and managed by the The Macerich Company, it is the county's only indoor regional shopping center. The fully enclosed mall opened in August 1975 with three anchor stores — Sears, Bamberger's and Wanamaker's — and 150+ specialty stores. Today, the mall is anchored by Boscov's, J.C. Penney, Macy's and Sears. The mall has a gross leasable area of 1,300,000 sq ft , making it the largest mall in the Gloucester County region, and placing it in the top eleven among the largest shopping malls in New Jersey. In late 2007, there has been speculation of adding additional retail space including an all new Neiman Marcus department store as well as additional space for retail stores. The expansion has not yet been finalized, but rather speculation has been surfacing the South Jersey Region. The expansion would create itself an upscale atmosphere containing many high-end stores and a few restaurants that still have to be mentioned. The Palisades Center, often referred to as the Palisades Mall, in West Nyack, New York is the twelfth largest Shopping Mall in the United States, and the second largest in the Tri State Area.
The mall has four levels, each of which is approximately the shape of a rectangle. Its anchor stores include Barnes & Noble, BJ's Wholesale Club, Macy's, Home Depot, JC Penney, Lord & Taylor, Staples, Best Buy, and Target. BJ's and Home Depot are not accessible from the mall itself. BJ's is on the bottom level, with Home Depot built on top of it and Target on top of that. Prior to Rouse Co.'s purchase of the mall in December 1997, The May Co. had committed to build an upscale Lord & Taylor store, with a new Strawbridge's as anchors to the mall. In addition a Guess store joined the mall, as an upscale retailer.
Nordstrom considered opening a store in South Jersey also, but they did not commit to the mall's expansion plans.
In an attempt to protect the Cherry Hill Mall, a mere 3 miles (4.8 km) away, the Rouse Co. acquired the Moorestown Mall. Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust acquired the Cherry Hill Mall, Echelon Mall, Moorestown Mall, Exton Square, Plymouth Meeting Mall, and Gallery at Market East on March 7, 2003. Source

Short Pump Town Center is located in Henrico County, Virginia on Broad Street, approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) west of I-64 Exit 178A/B. This area of Henrico County is called The West End and is northwest of Richmond. Short Pump Town Center is a two-level, open-air retail center comprised of upscale stores. It opened on September 17, 2003 and has over 200 stores. The retail center is owned and operated by Forest City Enterprises. The Fox Run Mall is a shopping mall in Newington, New Hampshire, just north of Portsmouth. Its main anchor stores include J. C.
