There is many dance socials being held weekly, bi-weekly or monthly in Manhattan, Queens, New York, New Jersey and generally in the Tri-State area. There are many interesting people to meet and many partners to dance with. All you need to do is get out here. You are invited to join our Dance Club on our quest to dance socially and have fun everywhere where possible. Before going to socials we suggest to learn at least basic steps of few most popular social dances like: Salsa, Merengue, Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Swing and Hustle. You will have more fun and your partners will appreciate it.

Lower Manhattan’s newest home for contemporary dance. DNA is proud to present and promote artistic excellence in dance performance, education and the creation process. DNA’s mission includes professional-level training, opportunities for creation and the latest in dance performance. In DNA’s studios each week, 170 classes are taught, rehearsals are run, workshops are conducted and choreographers create. DNA is a valuable resource for the aspiring, emerging and established artist, who benefit from artistic residencies, studio and administrative office subsidies, commissions and two performance seasons that offer presentations of new dance works, many of them world premieres.

We specialize in the instruction of all ballroom, latin, disco and club style dancing, including Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Salsa, Mambo, Rumba, Samba, Merengue, Cha Cha, Swing, Lindy, and Hustle, and teach both American and International style dancing.

When you enter the doors of this 5000 square foot studio, you are taken back by the interior décor. Not expecting a dance studio to look like this, the interior boasts leather walls, fabric cushions, sconces, slate floors, zebra carpet and an array of vivid colors that move everyone to want to dance. The décor alone makes you want to jump. Each dance room is equipped with floating floors - two hard wood and one Mylar : 3000 square foot of pure dance space; two lobbies, four bathrooms, vending machines, an office, 10 foot mirror walls, incredible sound, warehouse style ceilings, lighting and funky brick walls to top off this real live Manhattan style space. L.A. Dance is not just a fun place to learn to dance; it’s the hottest thing in town. It’s the coolest place to be and it’s totally up with the times. The students are proud to call this home.

Offering a variety of classes for all levels to help you get the true education of what dance is all about. Primary teacher Miss Mary Anthony, successful choreographer, professional dancer and owner of The Mary Anthony Dance Theatre founded in 1954. Every class Ms.Anthony teaches is highly structured with a form of discipline and a technique that is highly unique in many ways that focuses on every part of the body making her classes unforgettable.

As a small studio Dance Centre was able to provide individual attention to each dancer. Currently with 400 students and 4 teaching rooms, we are still dedicated to each student, both as a dancer and a person.
As diverse as the art of dance itself, our faculty is made up of instructors who specialize in teaching specific forms of dance to specific age groups. Our teachers have danced on Broadway, in movies and in music videos. Their one common philosophy is that teaching the love of dance is as important as teaching the technique of dance.

All the teachers are qualified professionals and committed to their students and the art of dance. Each teacher has performed professionally and Studio E prides themselves on having a staff that's been with them for a long time too. That says alot about the wonderful atmosphere of StudioE.

Celebrating its second year, is a place to build confidence and self esteem. At the Academy you will find a dedicated, professional staff that prides ourselves on teaching our students the art of dance through discipline, structure, and being an example. We Teach all ages, all students, all levels, and all styles of dance. We believe that dance helps a child develop mentally; Allowing them to express themselves creatively. Here our students will not just learn steps, but also build technique and vocabulary. Our students attend regional and national competitions and perform at the end of the year recital to showcase their hard work and dedication throughout the year. “Gotta Dance” Studio opened its doors on September 15, 2001. Owner, Miss Terri as she is known by her students, starting dancing at the age of 5 and always dreamed, that one day, she would open her own studio. She continued taking dance classes and was also a member of a local community theatre group for many years. There she was able to learn and develop not only her love of dance, but also her love for music, singing and acting. The performing arts has always been a big part of Miss Terri's life.
Mr. Ron & Miss Terri decided the time had come for them to fulfill the life long “Dream” and together they started searching for the perfect place. Their hope was to find a small studio where students could come and learn to love dance & music while having fun in a friendly and safe environment. Today, they are very proud of their accomplishments and are extremely grateful to all the wonderful families who have touched their lives. Their goal is to continue with this very gratifying work and in the process make “Gotta Dance” Studio, for all the families who are a part of it, a place that will be remembered and remain forever close to their hearts!

The Vicky Simegiatos Dance Company is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide cultural enrichment for the Brooklyn community. Our sponsors include BACA (Brooklyn Cultural Arts Association), New York State Council of the Arts, the New York Life Foundation, and Body Wrappers. We have established, through auditions, a Scholarship Program for talented young students who receive dance training free of charge, and participate in our professional productions.

Established in 1986, Deneille's Dance & Exercise Studio opened it's doors with the intension of teaching each and every single student on an individual basis; concentrating on a students particular strenghts and interests offering a complete and quality curriculum in all areas of dance. 23 years later while the world has changed in many ways our standard of excellence remains. Conceived by Bobbi Petri, Dance upon a time.... is the premier social dance studio in Queens and the Long Island area. Since its inception, our studio has attracted students from all over the tri-state area; we try to provide the highest quality of instruction available in a professional, yet relaxed and fun learning environment. Our ballroom, one of the largest among the NY area dance studios, regularly holds dance events of over 150-250 people; it can be partitioned into as many as 4 separate classrooms that can, depending on the dance, easily accommodate dozens of students in each.

Cathy's Dance Studio was founded in 1956 by Miss Cathy Dooley and has carried out one tradition for over the past 53 years - a mission of sharing the art of dance with children of all ages and adding the excitement of cutting edge dance techniques.

Capoeira Angola, an ancient martial art of African origin, is one of the many cultural weapons used to break the chains of enslavement in Brazil. Played close to the ground, Capoeira Angola combines fluid, dance-like movements with kicks, head butts, tripping sweeps and the appearance of playfulness or vulnerability. Music is played on traditional instruments to accompany the players, to teach the rhythmic heart of the art, and also to mask its power. In the eyes of the enslavers it appeared to be a joking and playful acrobatic dance, but eventually its power was realized and Capoeira was outlawed. Death was the penalty paid by those caught playing Capoeira during the slavery era. For almost 400 years Capoeira Angola was taught and practiced in secret, and only in the 1930's did this African martial art become legal to teach and practice.

As America's second oldest franchise organization, Arthur Murray International, Inc. is known around the world as a prominent entertainment company with franchises located throughout the United states, Canada and Puerto Rico, Europe, the Middle-East, Japan, South Africa and Australia. With the beginning of a new millennium, social dancing is again a significant part of popular culture for all generations. Today the Arthur Murray Franchised Dance Studios continue a tradition of more than 88 years in teaching the world to dance. The history of the Arthur Murray Franchised Dance studios began in 1912 with a man named Arthur Murray, an American symbol of entrepreneurial success and social dancing. Murray was among the first to use advertising techniques considered cutting edge at the time. His concept of selling dance lessons by mail, one step at a time, took the use of direct mail to a new level.

Not your typical "ballroom" studio, Martinez Dance Studio mixes technique with culture to create a vibrant atmosphere for learning authentic Latin dancing. Martinez Studios bridges the gap between all dance styles. Our classes include: Club–style Salsa, American Ballroom, Latin Ballroom, Argentine Tango, Flamenco, Belly Dancing, Hip–Hop, House, Children´s classes. In this studio the lines of dance are dissolved and people learn for the pure spirit, love and passion of dancing. Privates and groups which create a solid foundation for the 1st time student as well as a challenge for the more advanced dancer.

Classes range from Salsa/Mambo ON 2 (commonly called "New York Style Salsa", "Nightclub Style Salsa" or just "Salsa On 2"), Latin Hustle, Merengue, Bachata, Swing, and Ballroom. Jorday Rivera is a remarkable woman who leads a double life. By day, Jorday is an honorary Pre Med. Graduate student at St. John's University. The head intern for the chief of cardiology at The Parkway Hospital for the past four years. Within the next six months Jorday will attend either NYU or Columbia Medical School. She will study Neonatal and later become a heart surgeon and open her own practice.

Beth Jucovy has performed extensively and given workshops and classes in Duncan, ballet, modern, and jazz techniques both in the US and throughout Europe and Israel. She choreographs for and directs Dance Visions, a professional company performing works of contemporary choreographers, as well as the works of major dance pioneers. Dance Visions has been the recipient of over fifteen NYSCA decentralization grants. The company performs throughout Long Island and the NY metropolitan area. Beth also danced for a decade with Andrew Jannetti and Dancers, performing frequently at many NYC venues. She was a soloist with the Downtown Ballet Company for six years, as well as with Ameridance International, a jazz dance company based in Munich, Germany. She is an Isadora Duncan dance specialist trained since childhood by Julia Levien. She had also worked intensively with Anna Sokolow. She has received critical acclaim in the major NY papers as well as abroad for her performances

BBT is a dance school dedicated to providing the highest quality dance education for girls and boys ages 2-19, as well as adults. Through the discipline and dedication dance requires, BBT molds and develops healthy, passionate, responsible, and well-rounded individuals who have the potential to succeed in any field.
BBT draws on the rich traditions of Russian ballet. In addition to teaching all students in classical ballet using the Russian Method, we teach them folk & character dance, modern and popular dance, ballroom and Latin dance, staging for the students original and contemporary choreography. Our instructors have graduated from the world's finest ballet schools & colleges and have performed with the most prestigious ballet companies throughout the world.
