Founded in 1989, the Pacific Coast Air Museum (PCAM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the acquisition, restoration, safe operation and display of historical aircraft and provides an educational venue for students and the community. We also intend to honor those heroic aviators who have contributed so much to the growth and defense of our way of life.

In 2002, Jeff and Susan Lane established Lane Motor Museum. Jeff has been an automotive enthusiast since an early age. He began restoring his first car—a 1955 MG TF—when he was a teen. His personal collection was the donation that began the foundation. Lane Motor Museum unveiled its collection to the public in October of 2003. As director, Jeff Lane continues to search out cars for the collection that are technically significant or uniquely different. The goal of Lane Motor Museum is to share in the mission of collection and preserving automotive history for future generations.
The Museum is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

The Nevada Museum of Art is the only accredited art museum in the state of Nevada. Recognized for following best practices as outlined by the American Association of Museums, the Museum is committed to continuous institutional improvement and change. With accreditation, the Museum joins the ranks of other significant institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Just 5% of all museums in the US earn AAM accreditation

A Casa das Rosas, localizada na Avenida Paulista número 37, foi projetada na década de 1930 pelo escritório de Ramos de Azevedo, para ser a residência de sua filha Lúcia, recém casada com o engenheiro Ernesto Dias de Castro. A bela casa, hoje referência na vida do paulistano, foi uma das últimas construções realizadas na avenida.

A non-profit, educational association and collects books, documents, artifacts, and other historical objects significant to General Maritime History of Jacksonville and Florida's First Coast; preserves their historical value; and interprets their meaning to the public by means of museum displays, educational programs, lectures and publications.
The founders of the JMMS have declared preserving the history of Jacksonville has laid the groundwork for establishing a rich collection of artifacts and manuscripts that relate to Jacksonville’s past, present, and future. The strength of the JMMS collection lies in its connections between artifacts and the people who owned, used, and learned from them.

The Children’s Museum of Manhattan gives families an opportunity to not only have a fun-filled and interactive museum experience but also to help jumpstart their child’s education. Located on the upper west side, the museum features some of the most unique and diverse exhibits in New York City. Children may find themselves in the EatSleepPlay center which allows them to build healthier lifestyles by experiencing hands-on the various functions of the human body. The family can then go to a live performance from a variety of top flight Broadway artists that all have a positive and enhancing message. In Spring 2012 the Children’s Museum celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month by looking at various artists and writers who have helped shape the Pacific Asian culture. These artists and writers will be presented in such a way that children will grasp the concepts behind the work and help further stimulate their own thirsts for knowledge and understanding. The Children’s Museum of Manhattan is a great time for the kid and the kid at heart and welcomes all families to their door.

The Museum of Chinese in America has the distinction of being one of the first museums to provide a link between the enriched Chinese culture and American society. Located in Manhattan, the Museum of Chinese in America strives to be a model amongst interactive museums and provides a cultural experience unlike many others in New York City. The museum itself curates and displays an expanded collection in a variety of innovative ways. Want to learn about the Chinese immigrants living in California? Why not watch it in a multimedia production available on the main floor. Want to bring a Chinese fieldtrip to school? Take advantage of the museum’s educational programs and curriculum. The museum also offers oral histories and firsthand accounts through its community workshops and projects giving visitors a strong sense of what the Chinese culture is all about. Spring 2012 continues in the traditions of innovative exhibits by featuring new displays focusing on the Tiananmen Square massacre, the history of Chinatown, and a walk through Chinese America in the Artists Talk series. The belief is that by increasing local and global dialogues, New Yorkers and Chinese alike will promote wellness and shape a better tomorrow. The Museum of Chinese in America is dedicated to doing just that.

What speaks to American Freedom quite like the Statue of Liberty? Liberty Island, right off the coast of Manhattan, hosts this world famous landmark that has been featured as an American symbol of freedom for generations. Inside the statue itself is an amazing museum experience unlike anything in the world. This Lower Manhattan museum has an extensive collection of the history behind the statue and offers an insight into the hows and whys of the construction of the monument. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the various chambers of the statue and gaze upon the many exhibits including looks at some of the dismantled original pieces such as the original torch which is now inside. An added attraction is the Ranger tours which take visitors around the island itself while enlightening and explaining the immense wealth of knowledge associated with the statue. Although closed through Summer 2012 due to renovation, visitors can still see many of the museum’s pieces including the special American Chopper “Liberty Bike” now housed in a special outdoor exhibit. No trip to New York is complete without visiting the Statue of Liberty and of course the Statue of Liberty Museum.

Visando recuperar a arquitetura original, ampliar espaços destinados ao público, aprimorar os serviços oferecidos aos visitantes, democratizar o acesso dos mais diversos segmentos da sociedade e viabilizar uma circulação e um percurso adequados ao discurso museográfico, o conjunto arquitetônico que abriga o Museu passou, entre 2003 e 2006, por importantes obras de restauração e modernização.

Texas Memorial Museum is the exhibit hall of the Texas Natural Science Center. It is located at 2400 Trinity Street, on The University of Texas at Austin campus, in Austin, Texas.

The origin of the National Railroad Museum dates to 1956, when local individuals advanced the concept of a national museum dedicated to the American rail road history. Two years later, a joint resolution of Congress recognized the Museum as the National Railroad Museum. Since then, the Museum has operated as a privately funded 501 (c) (3) educational organization with a mission to foster an understanding of railroading and its significance to American Life. What began as an effort to acquire a single steam locomotive for a city park has grown into one of the largest rail museums in the nation. It now serves over 75,000 visitors annually. O Museu Inimá de Paula está localizado no município brasileiro de de Belo Horizonte. Foi aberto em 29 de abril de 2008. O prédio, inaugurado em 1932 e revitalizado para se tornar um museu, é obra do arquiteto italiano Rafaello Berti, um dos fundadores da Escola de Arquitetura da UFMG. O governo estadual, proprietário do prédio, o cedeu em regime comodato, por 20 anos, à Fundação Inimá de Paula. Localiza-se no prédio do antigo Clube Belo Horizonte e Cine Guarani, na confluência de Rua da Bahia com Rua Guajajaras e Avenida Álvares Cabral. O museu homenageia o pintor mineiro que lhe dá nome, com dezenas de sua obras expostas permanentemente no segundo e terceiro andares, enquanto no primeiro fica uma filial do Café Kahlua e no porão, um auditório de 151 lugares. Destacam-se os auto-retratos de Inimá, numa sala especial. No último andar são exibidas exposições itinerantes, que devem ocorrer duas vezes ao ano e pretendem trazer à capital mineira obras de importantes artistas brasileiros e estrangeiros.

O Museu Aeroespacial foi inaugurado em 18 de outubro de 1976. A importância dessa criação deve-se à necessidade de preservação e divulgação do material aeronáutico e documentos históricos para as futuras gerações. Situado no Campo dos Afonsos, "Berço da Aviação Militar", atualmente o Museu Aeroespacial integra o Campus da Universidade da Força Aérea – UNIFA. O Museu Aeroespacial recebe, em média, 10.000 mil visitantes por ano, com tipologia e faixa etária variadas. Desde o estudante que vem só ou em grupos escolares, até o mais aficionado pesquisador sobre o assunto, são freqüentadores assíduos do Museu, com objetivos diferentes, mas sempre com grande interesse, já que aviação desperta ao público em geral, uma grande atração.

A Casa do Patrimônio Ferroviário Brasileiro, conhecido como Museu do Trem, administrado pela REDE FERROVIÁRIA FEDERAL, foi inaugurado em fevereiro de 1984. Instalado no antigo galpão de pinturas de carros da Estrada de Ferro Pedro II. São destaques: A BARONEZA, construída na Inglaterra, foi a primeira locomotiva a trafegar no Brasil em 1854. O CARRO IMPERIAL que foi fabricado em 1886, na Bélgica, para servir ao imperador D. Pedro II; O CARRO DO REI ALBERTO, que fazia parte da composição adaptada exclusivamente para servir ao Rei da Bélgica, em 1921, por ocasião da sua visita ao Brasil e O CARRO PRESIDENCIAL que serviu a Getulio Vargas na década de 30. Criada no ano de 1984, durante a 50ª Exposição Nacional de Gado Zebuíno - EXPOZEBU, dentro do Parque Fernando Costa em Uberaba - MG, na antiga casa pertecente ao Ministério da Agricultura.

O Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia é uma instituição estadual e está ligado à Secult - Secretaria de Cultura da Bahia e ao Ipac – Instituto do Patrimônio Artístico e Cultural do Estado, autarquia vinculada à Secult e gestora dos museus estaduais baianos, cuja finalidade é preservar os bens culturais do Estado e colaborar na formulação de políticas educacionais de cunho patrimonial, através da pesquisa, documentação, restauração e difusão da produção técnica e científica necessária a essa preservação.

O Instituto Oceanográfico da Universidade de São Paulo (lO-USP) foi fundado em 1946, como Instituto Paulista de Oceanografia. Em 1951, mudou para seu nome atual quando foi incorporado à USP. Na época de fundação, os objetivos de seus idealizadores apontavam para a necessidade de uma instituição que fornecesse bases científicas à pesca e, numa concepção mais ampla, à exploração de todos os recursos disponíveis ao longo do litoral paulista.

Numa aconchegante casa construída na década de 40, cercada de um bem cuidado e florido jardim, no município de Seara, interior de Santa Catarina, viveu um dos milhares de imigrantes alemães que chegaram ao Brasil no início do século. A história desse teuto-brasileiro seria igual à de tantos outros imigrantes do sul do país que trabalharam duro para garantir as condições mínimas de sobrevivência num ambiente inóspito, não fosse ele Fritz Plaumann, um dos mais respeitados entomologistas do mundo.

The DOCKYARD MUSEUM in the Naval Officer's House interprets the story of English Harbour and of the people that toiled in this famous Georgian Royal Naval Yard. It also explains the 20th century return of sailing ships and the aims and aspirations of Nelson's Dockyard National Park. There is also a small "Nelson's Room" with a life sized portrait of Nelson researched through archaeological means.
