From the beaches of California to the busy streets of New York, Pacsun has established itself as a distinctive and innovative New York City clothing store that embraces its west coast roots and shares it with an East Coast lifestyle. Located in Elhurst, Pacsun is far more than a traditional Queens clothing store; it is a status symbol of a lifestyle not readily available in the New York clothing scene. Offering much more than surfboards and board wax, Pacsun’s reached out into the entire youth culture and now offers a full line of casual and active sport apparel. Men’s wear, women’s wear, swimsuits, shoes, denim and of course surf shorts are all part of Pacsun’s unique designer collections that give you quality clothing in a variety of up-to-date fashions. Another interest of note is Pacsun’s dedication to employees by providing extraordinary training and services to ensure that you, the customer, receive the very best NYC shopping experience. Pacsun’s desire is to stay true to their roots in youth culture and offer what’s new now. With their store in Queens they continue to succeed with that mentality and offer a welcome change from the mundane in the fashion world.

After 20 years in the surf, skate and snowboard business, founder Chip Wilson took the first commercial yoga class offered in Vancouver and found the result exhilarating. The post yoga feeling was so close to surfing and snowboarding that it seemed obvious that yoga was an ideology whose time had come (again).

From humble beginnings as just another trophy and plaque designer to being the #1 Cricket Store in United States, Singh’s Sporting Goods is a Queens specialty store that generates a lot of buzz. Singh’s penchant for Cricket is a unique concept for a Queens sporting goods store, because it is one sport that is not as main stream as its contemporaries. In a world of soccer moms and softball enthusiasts, Singh’s has made Cricket a sought after game. They offer every piece of equipment you can dream of to establish a successful Cricket team. Just because they focus on Cricket doesn’t mean they have forgotten their roots either. Eastern Lines began its existence in a little store in the Acme shopping center in Belmar in February 1981, although in the early years the shop was known as Zodiac Surf & Skate. Although I grew up in the Seaside Heights area, when I began to look around for a location for a shop, Belmar was an easy choice. Besides the fact that there was no other shop there, Belmar has always been rich in the surfing history of the Jersey Shore.

In 1938, mountain climbers Lloyd and Mary Anderson joined with 21 fellow Northwest climbers to found Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI). The group structured REI as a consumer cooperative to purchase high-quality ice axes and climbing equipment from Europe because such gear could not be purchased locally. The word quickly spread, and soon many other outdoors people joined the co-op. As REI grew, so too did the range of outdoor gear available to the co-op members.

Serving the greater Philadelphia, Abington, Flourtown, Blue-Bell, Rockledge, Rydal, Chestnut Hill communities for 30 years. Offering you a wide selection of affordable bikes and fitness equipment, combined with expert advice and friendly service. Our focus is on you, the customer.
Thinking of buying a new bicycle? One of your first choices, and not necessarily an easy one, will be where to shop. It can be a challenge because there are a myriad of stores that carry two-wheelers, from specialty retailers, to giant department stores, to backyard garage operations. Where you buy, however, has everything to do with what you get. You see, bicycles aren't like toasters or suitcases. Bikes are shipped in boxes and they must be assembled and tuned. There are many types, too, and you should never buy until you've figured out which is right for you. Measurements and adjustments are required to ensure the frame is the correct size and that the seat and handlebars are properly positioned. And, every new bicycle will need a minor tune-up after several weeks of use. What's more, modern road and mountain bikes can travel at high speeds and carry you over demanding terrain where the machine's materials and construction get tested. A quality two-wheeler, carefully assembled and fit to you, will be the safest, most durable and fun bicycle to ride. For these reasons, we strongly recommend shopping at a good specialty bicycle store in our area. For instance, we hire competent salespeople and expert mechanics who'll ensure that you get the right bike and a quality machine. Look for a store that's clean, has helpful personnel, offers a good selection, and an on-site repair department |

Skate Penn has been operating in State College, PA since October 2007. After Shop Co-Owner Christian Pfeifer relocated from Colorado and landed in State College, Pennsylvania, the options for purchasing skate gear were slim, and even the places that had it available had very little knowledge about skateboarding. Products were only available in stores that carried multiple types of products, therefore, there was no real "Skate Shop" for local riders to call home. With that in mind, Christian got on the phone to his brother "Shaggy" Pfeifer, who was living in St. Petersburg, Florida, and told him of the need for a Skate Shop in town. Shaggy decided he would come check out the scene and a few weeks later he visited State College, and after spending a weekend in town, and seeing the potential, he relocated and the concept of Skate Penn was born, and then in October of 2007, Skate Penn opened its doors in the original location in the Fraser St Alley.
